Yâall are always pro-life until it comes time to help the disadvantaged mothers and fathers who now have to somehow pay for extra mouth, or protecting them from the adoption/foster care system, the brown kids being separated from their parents at the border, homeless youth, the vast majority of whom are LGBT, all the kids who are illiterate, starving, and being abused. Whereâs all your care while you stand in judgement over women who choose something you wouldnât personally do? Hypocrite.
This may shock you, but some pro life people help the poor, are against the human rights violations at the border, help the homeless, love the LGBT, and protect children.Â
For example, Iâm Catholic. Catholic Charities does a lot of really good work throughout the world. And have you heard about the Catholic religious getting arrested at the border for protests?Â
Does it make you feel better to think that we must stand against you in all cases? That we MUST hate, because otherwise how would you justify disagreeing with us when we ask you not to harm young humans?Â
Iâm not judging you. Iâm just disagreeing with you. I have heard your arguments for ten years, they have not changed, and I continue to hope that you and those like you come around.Â

The issue in NY is what finally turned me pro life. Reading what it entailed, even from a pro choice perspective, sickened me to my core.
Yeah. I totally understand. It was really... dark.Â
But I must say, I admire the strength to change your mind. It really shows that you care more about truth than pride, and that is such an admirable trait.Â
-C
It makes me upset that pro aborts think adoption is the same as foster when they're not and they think it's still like in those 19th century novels with the rampant abuse and lack of care. I was a foster kid, its not horrible
Always good to hear from someone who has actually been in that situation! Your experience is super important.Â

People say that we place fetus rights above women's rights. The truth is that the mother was born and therefore cannot deny that right to an innocent child.
Mm Iâm not really sure I follow your logic. Are you saying that abortion is wrong bc only those who have had their right to life respected can take it away from a child? (In the âI have noticed that those who are for abortion have all been bornâ sense?)
I would say that even if you have had your rights stripped from you, it doesnât give you the right to infringe upon another. Even someone who has had abuse heaped upon them canât abuse another.
Youâre right â people say âyou give fetusâ more rights than women!â Even though women ALSO have the right not to be killed. I would also say that youâre right in that thereâs no one against or for abortion who is at risk of being killed by it. Thatâs why itâs so important to speak up for the helpless!

although i do agree with many of your statements on birth control, you are aware of how vital it is for some women who wish to have sex with their partners (inside marriage to remove controversy over this example), but have health problems that can/will cause failed pregnancies if they do get pregnant? cause although there are condoms and whatnot, they donât always work and those women need that assurance (that and rape is unfortunately a risk, no matter how safe of a community youâre in)
Hey! I just reblogged something which delves a bit into birth control. Might be good for you to check out. Sorry for the delay!
Ultimately, I do believe a person can be FOR birth control AND pro life. But I also think that a rise in birth control leads to a rise in unplanned pregnancies because all birth control has a failure rate. That doesnât mean you need to be against it, just something to consider. Unplanned pregnancies donât have to mean abortion.
(Iâm against birth control for religious reasons, and I can explain why I think no birth control is best for our souls and our lives, but itâs not really relevant to abortion.)
Again, so sorry for the delay!! I donât think anyone checks the inbox anymore.

How could you be a girl, and yet anti-abortion? How could you hate your own gender?
Simple; I am a woman and Iâm against abortion. Iâll go deeper into that first question, but first, Iâd like to address the second one.
You might think that the two questions above are the same, but it reminds me of a John Mulaney bit when a friend asked him if he saw Hitler walking down the street heâd kill him.
Accusing me of hating women just because I am against abortion is like killing a really old, old man and shouting,
So anyway, I donât hate women and I really donât understand why youâd think that. Normally I wouldnât waste my time explaining myself to some anon hate who probably blocked me right after sending this ask, BUTÂ this is an important topic to discuss.
I am a 20-year-old woman; one of the older Gen Z kids. Do you want to know what society has told me before I even went through puberty? That getting pregnant is the worst thing that can happen to you. Even in the case of rape, itâs terrible, yes, but even worse if you get pregnant. Like? What the fuck???
I had terrible chronic migraines when I was 13-16. So bad that I had to go to the ER a couple times to get stronger pain medication to make them go away. When I switched neurologists to get better care, you know what one of the first things I was asked? âAre you taking any birth control?â
I was barely 15. I was a freshman in high school. My head hurt so bad all the time that I had to miss school a lot and my grades suffered badly. When I finally get a glimmer of hope for switching to a renowned neurologist to finally get some medical relief, a guy with a standing rolling desk asks me if Iâm on birth control.
And when I said no, he very rudely told me âYou should be, itâs better for you. I personally recommendââ and he starts listing birth control pill brands. He kept talking over me when I kept trying to tell him âNo, Iâm not interested.â It got to the point when I was almost in tears because my head hurt, I felt like puking, I was exhausted and hungry, the wait time to even get in that examination room was an hour, and this walking beanpole with boyband hair wanted to put me on some pill simply because I was a teenage girl.
Finally, my mom had to tell him, âYou need to get out of here.â and another âGet out,â when he tried to get one last word in.
(My migraines had nothing to do with my period cycle or even my hormones, so donât even come at me with that shit.)
Feeding birth control to young girls is commonplace, unfortunately. Before our bodies are even done growing, weâre told to take pills that change our natural bodily autonomy and function:
The hormonal contraceptive usually stops the body from ovulating. Hormonal contraceptives also change the cervical mucus to make it difficult for the sperm to go through the cervix and find an egg. Hormonal contraceptives can also prevent pregnancy by changing the lining of the womb so itâs unlikely the fertilized egg will be implanted.
That reduces the number of menstrual periods from 13 periods a year to only four a year. That means a woman who takes this pill will menstruate only once each season.
Why does the birth control industry want to change the way womenâs bodies work? Why do they want to sterilize us so we canât get pregnant? They say theyâre âprotectingâ us, but what are they protecting us from? A baby?? How are they doing this? Not by educating us on relationships, how to have a healthy relationship and how to avoid a bad one, but by changing the natural way our bodies work. And you know whoâs benefiting from this? If men can be assured that a woman will not get pregnant, itâs easier for them to just smash and dash. No responsibility, no attachment, just a way to get off. Women become even more like objects. There are no downsides for men. For them, women can be a living fleshlight; free for them to fuck repeatedly without pesky responsibility.
Telling women they are slaves of their bodies unless they sterilize themselves with pills and rings and mesh is a toxic mentality. You know who canât get pregnant overall? Men. Todayâs culture tells women they cannot do everything man can do and be without becoming like-man by eliminating their fertility.Â
âDreams are not achieved by seeing the powerful ability of a womanâs body to bring life into the world as a disease to be eradicated, or the tiny life once conceived as a cancer to be cut out. Dreams also cannot be built on violence â especially not a violence that pits a woman against her child at its most dependent stage. Womenâs autonomy â and our realized dreams â are not won through the killing of our children.â
But pills, condoms, Planned Parenthoodâthey donât protect us from more severe effects like trauma, abusive relationships, depression, self-hatred, suicide, being treated as though weâre disposable, and more.
Iâm going to include some links and information below since this is a hard subject for me to talk about. One last statement: science proves the life inside the womb is indeed living and human. You cannot argue with scientific fact. Pretending that the unborn human is neither human nor alive, is wrong. Think of the slaves of the old south, and racism that still persists, claiming that black people were only 3/5 of a whole human being. Remember also the complete disregard of Jewish lives in the Holocaust, and the anti-semitism that still persists.
People since the beginning of time have labeled certain groups as less than human to justify persecuting them. Everyone knows that history repeats itself. Look around. Open your eyes. Unborn humans are still human: Science Fact.
Article in Harvard Law Journal concludes: The preborn child is a constitutional person.
It is not difficult to see life inside the womb â one has only to view an ultrasound, or look up websites like babycenter.com or ehd.org, or marvel with millions at viral videos like this one. Human life begins as the single-cell embryo, with its own complete, unique DNA, a life that only needs time and nourishment to grow. A recent study even suggests the beating of the childâs heart begins as early as 16 days after conception.
If you would like to continue advocating for the abortion (killing) of unborn humans, of every race and background, then thatâs your issue. But stop ignoring facts.
The Pill
Medical abortion is a procedure that uses medication to end a pregnancy. A medical abortion doesnât require surgery or anesthesia and can be started either in a medical office or at home with follow-up visits to your doctor. Itâs safer and most effective during the first trimester of pregnancy.
Having a medical abortion is a major decision with emotional and psychological consequences. If youâre considering this procedure, make sure you understand what it entails, side effects, possible risks, complications, and alternatives.
Hereâs what the Mayo Clinic says about medical abortion
Hormonal contraceptives (the pill, the patch, and the vaginal ring) all contain a small amount of man-made estrogen and progestin hormones. These hormones work to inhibit the bodyâs natural cyclical hormones to prevent pregnancy. Pregnancy is prevented by a combination of factors.
The most commonly experienced side effects of a medical abortion are felt after taking misoprostol, and include the following:
Intense cramping
Bleeding heavier than a period
Diarrhea
Abdominal pain unrelated to cramping
Dizziness
Headaches
Mild fever
Hot flashes
Chills
Light lactation
While not as common, some women experience more intense side effects that could suggest a serious complication has occurred. If any of these side effects are felt following a medical abortion, medical attention should be sought immediately:
Severe pain
Fever
Passing clots for two or more hours that are or exceed the size of a lemon
Strong, unusual smelling vaginal discharge
Excessive bleeding, defined as using two or more pads in an hour
Something to consider if youâre thinking about a medical abortion is how it may affect you emotionally or mentally. While all women are at some degree of risk for experiencing the following emotional side effects of a medical abortion, you may be at higher risk depending on your situation. Emotional side effects of abortion include:
Regret
Guilt
Shame
Anger
Relationship difficulties
Inability to sleep
Nightmares
Anxiety
Depression
Suicidal thoughts or feelings
Having a medical abortion is a serious decision. If possible, talk with your partner, family or friends. Talk with your doctor, a spiritual adviser or a counselor to get answers to your questions, help you weigh alternatives and consider the impact the procedure may have on your future.

Fact Checker Analysis Planned Parenthoodâs false stat: âThousandsâ of women died every year before Roe
For pro-abortion advocates, pushing for abortion seems like giving women a âchoice.â But when women go to places like Planned Parenthood, they are not given a choice. They are given an abortion. whether or not they wanted one, women are guilted and pressured into aborting, without considering other options, like adoption:
Abortion is also the most often proposed âsolutionâ for pregnant women at Planned Parenthood: An âunwanted pregnancyâ at Planned Parenthood is 160 times more likely to lead to abortion than to adoption. Put another way: For every 160 children who are aborted, only one child is referred for adoption.
Planned Parenthood uses unscientific and fabricated and misleading medical information to convince women to have abortions.
Planned Parenthood where state rep harassed pro-lifer failed over half of its inspections
This particular Planned Parenthood location is dangerous to women because it failed 13 of its last 23 patient safety inspections. This facility failed to provide a safe and sanitary environment, failed to properly store gauze sponges or sterilize surgical instruments, and failed to determine a physical status on all patients before anesthesia or surgery. It also failed to follow the Plan of Correction.
Operation Rescue reports that at about 3:00 in the afternoon, a right to life supporter captured the arrival of the ambulance on camera. Antonio Calimano watched as the emergency team appears to bring a woman out of the side of the abortion facility building using a wheelchair, placing her in the ambulance.

some studies suggest a possible link between pregnancy termination and an increased risk of premature birth and low birth weight.
Surgical abortion. A surgical procedure removes the fetus from the uterus through the vagina. Itâs typically done using suction and a sharp, spoon-shaped tool (curet). Rarely, this can cause scarring of the uterine wall (Asherman syndrome), which may make it difficult to get pregnant. Women who have multiple surgical abortion procedures may also have more risk of trauma to the cervix.

Actual testimonies from actual abortionists who see abortions firsthand.
When Current Events Trigger Abortion Trauma: âMy first significant reaction occurred during my first intentional pregnancy. I was 22 and married, after having two abortions at ages 18 and 19. âAccording to the book Complications: Abortionâs Impact on Women, the aftermath of the procedure can lead to depression, anxiety, substance abuse and suicide. Post-abortion trauma also affects family formation, leading to a rise in single-parent families, the refusal of fathers to accept responsibility and the breakdown of relationships, including divorce. All of these scenarios lead to even more women and men left alone in their trauma.â
In cases of Rape
Abortion is not a compassionate choice for a woman who has been raped. It is another violent act forced upon the body of two innocent victims: the rape survivor and her preborn child. Â As the debate over abortion reaches new heights across the country, people are speaking up, including many whose mothers were raped and chose life. Their voices deserve to be heard.
In the wordâs of one rape survivor, âThey are using the story of the one percent to justify the slaughter of the other ninety-nine.â

As we reject the celebration of violence against our children, let us also work together for positive solutions to the challenges women and children face. Together, we can work to improve maternity leave and maternal health care, destigmatize unplanned pregnancy, and support families raising children in our communities. Together, we can acknowledge and support the thousands of pregnancy care centers quietly and confidentially serving women facing unplanned pregnancies, the millions of adoptive parents inviting new life into their homes, and the brave single mothers working hard to support themselves and their children. These quiet champions â and all who work to protect and improve the lives of our fellow humans â are worth celebrating.Â
I hope this post helps to inform everyone about the truth of abortion.
From Secular Pro-Lifeâs Facebook post:
Here is a small 2012 study regarding womenâs responses to viewing ultrasounds before abortion: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23040800
The study found, as other studies have, that some women decide not to abort after viewing an ultrasound while many others go through with abortion anyway. But the part that jumped out to me was how even the women who still chose to terminate talked about the ultrasound as giving them more context and information, which seems to dovetail pretty well with the informed consent arguments anti-abortion people make for ultrasound laws.
Itâs also notable that whether the women chose to continue their pregnancies or abort, they thought it was a good idea for clinics to offer the option of an ultrasound. Iâve seen pro-choice articles call laws that require *offering* an ultrasoundânot mandating viewing, just offering the optionâan âabortion restriction,â which seems ludicrous to me. How is having to *offer* more information a hurdle to a procedure? We wouldnât describe any other informed consent laws that way.
Anyway, interesting little study.

Frederica Mathewes-Green explains how her early commitment to feminist principles helped convert her to the pro-life cause.
I encourage everyone to read this. Couldnât have said it any better.
Wow, Iâm speechless. Thank you for posting this!
âStrange, isnât it, that both pro-choice and pro-life people agree that is true? Abortion is a horrible and harrowing experience. That women choose it so frequently shows how much worse continuing a pregnancy can be. Essentially, weâve agreed to surgically alter women so that they can get along in a manâs world. And then expect them to be grateful for it.
Nobody wants to have an abortion. And if nobody wants to have an abortion, why are women doing it, 2800 times a day? If women doing something 2,800 times daily that they donât want to do, this is not liberation weâve won. We are colluding in a strange new form of oppression.â
IM AWED
âOne day, the tide is going to turn. With that Supreme Court decision 43 years ago, one of the sides in the abortion debate won the day. But sooner or later, that day will end. No generation can rule from the grave. The time is coming when a younger generation will sit in judgment of ours. And they are not obligated to be kind.â
