“What’s that nose scrunch about?” Pandora asked her friend needing to tease her about it. She knew that her friend was undeniably lucky in that she found her soul mate so easily, and one that clearly loved her on top of that. “You know that the two of you are absolutely perfect for one another. Even you can’t deny that. You just give the rest of us hope that something like that will come along for the rest of us. Sometimes we just need that reminder. Especially someone like me.”

She knew that it was a large undertaking agreeing to watch all of the boys, but her friend deserved a night out to feel like a woman again. Perhaps there was more selfish reasons up the blonde’s sleeves such as genuinely enjoying the mayhem that came with being around the children. They gave her so much joy and happiness that the chaos that came with being around them only seemed to feel like an equal trade off for the love they put into her heart. “Besides we both know if it gets to be too much that you and Arthur are only a quick owl away.”

“Then he won’t be the boy for her,” She was sure of that. Any boy worthy of the a Weasley girl wouldn’t mind putting up a fight when it came to being in her life after all. Only the one that was worthy of her would. Or perhaps she was often too tender towards the children that meant something to her.

Molly laughed at Pandora’s comment about scrunching her nose up. “You’ll find that person, love,” Molly replied with a smile. She certainly had and while she had to admit that for her and Arthur, it had come naturally easy, she knew that a woman as sweet, sympathetic, and caring would find her soulmate. “It’d be hard to believe that someone like you won’t find that person.”

“It’ll be nice to get out before the baby comes anyways,” Molly said with a soft smile. She knew that once she gave birth, it would be a lot more difficult for her and Arthur to get time together, so she would take every advantage she could get to spend quality time with her husband.

“I mean, Arthur somehow managed to convince my brothers he was here to stay, so I’m sure whoever comes into her life will be able to do it,” she said as she laughed. She didn’t even have a daughter and she felt bad for a future boyfriend if they did have one.

It was always obvious that Molly often felt uncomfortable when compliments were concerned, but to Pandora she always deserved more than she received. The woman was incredible if you asked her. She was someone that the blonde looked up to, especially as a mother. “You know seeing the way that you and Arthur are with each other makes it hard to settle for just any guy. I want someone who loves me just as much as your husband very clearly loves you. I think it’s something that we all deserve even after this war.” Or perhaps she couldn’t stop herself from holding out hope that she would finally win Xen over, but that was neither here nor there.

“They’re all mama’s boys except for maybe Charlie. But I’m sure for a few hours that they would be able to be good little boys for their aunt so that mama can go enjoy an evening out like she deserves to have,” Pandora reminded her raising her eyebrows, “don’t you miss a nice romantic evening?”

“Honestly I feel for the poor fool that ever dares to date any daughter born into this family. He’s going to have one interesting time trying to prove himself. But at least she will always have high standards about what she deserves.”

Molly scrunched her nose up when Pandora talked about how much Arthur clearly loved her. She often thought how lucky she was that she had found someone who loved her just as much as she loved him. She had known early on that she would marry Arthur. Whether he thought the same thing, she wasn’t sure. But she knew all along that they would get happily married and have a big family. “Yeah, I lucked out with Arthur,” she said as she smiled at Pandora.

Molly couldn’t help but to laugh when Pandora mentioned that all her boys were mamma’s boys. She had to agree, while Percy was more of a daddy’s boy, she had to agree that for the most part, her boys were mamma’s boys. She supposed it happened when she was the only woman in the house. “For your sake, I hope so,” she said, teasingly, as she laughed. “No, but they love when you’re over, so I’m sure they will be.” Pandora was one of the few she trusted to watch her boys with no hiccup.

“He’ll probably take one look at her brothers and book it.” Molly couldn’t help but to laugh. Her brothers were younger then her and they put up a fight when she took Arthur home the first time. She could only imagine the hell six brothers (assuming she had another child and it was a daughter) would raise.

Who to they take after? There’s never been a question about Molly taking after her mother. She’s Margaret’s spitting image, in both personality and looks.

How do they dress? Casually inexpensive. Again, with five kids and another one on the way, she can’t spend too much time or too much money on her clothing.

Any special accessories? If so, why are they special? Molly still wears the necklace her brothers got her when she married Arthur. She also wears the wedding ring given to her by Arthur when they got married.

Something that they always carry with them: Besides the necklace and the wedding ring, she prefers not to carry much because it’s bound to get lost while taking care of six kids.

Ignatius - 56 years old - Ravenclaw - FC: Barney Rosenzweig

Unlike his brother, Carl Prewett, Ignatius is assertive and loud mouthed. He is often described as ambitious, determined, and very clever - all the traits of a Slytherin. As a matter of fact, when Ignatius was being sorted at Hogwarts, the Sorting Hat almost placed him into Slytherin, but he also had all the traits of being a Ravenclaw (i.e. accepting, wise upon his years, and intelligent) and he was afraid of how his parents would react if he were sorted into Slytherin, so he convinced the Sorting Hat to place him in Ravenclaw, just like his brother. He’s been described as the life of the party, bringing a certain joy to the rain without trying.

Because of those traits, Molly’s very close to her uncle, evident by the fact that Percy’s middle name is Igantius. With Igantius’ nature of loving his job (much like Arthur), and her having young kids, they don’t often see each other, but she always makes it a point to invite him and his wife, Lucretia, often.

Headcanon

If there’s one thing that always surprises people, it’s that Molly Weasley is very competitive.

She also gets startled very easily. If someone sneaks up on her (her children will do it on purpose because they know she startles easily), she will jump and gasp audibly.

She has a serious case of arachnophobia. Arthur is always the one that kills spiders and if he isn’t home, one of the older boys has to do it for her.

Molly has considerable back problems because of her breast size. Five pregnancies certainly hasn’t helped either.

Molly absolutely loves Stephen King books.

Her favorite Stephen King book varies every time you ask her, but it’s always between Carrie and The Shining. 

Molly’s eyesight is awful. She can’t stand to wear glasses, so she wears contacts as much as possible. 

She’s more of a cat person then she is a dog person.

“It could be worth testing at least. If only to give you and Arthur some time to yourselves. You could test it off for a night or two, pawn off your children, each one to a different person. I don’t see any reason why not. Give yourselves some time off.” A warm smile rested on their lips. They wold probably never go for it, but Xeno would certainly be willing to watch one of the children for a night. Though really perhaps it would be best Xeno not be left alone with children for too long though they really did love them.

“And he’s not wrong you know. Muggles are perfectly good.” Xen laughed lightly at the idea of Arthur in a muggle hospital. He would certainly be overwhelmed and going crazy. It almost made Xen want to bring Arthur on a trip to the Muggle world to visit his mum’s Muggle family. It would be enjoyable at the least. They made a note to themselves to invite him along some time. “Could be fun. Or end with him having a heart attack. Although if he’s going to have a heart attack at least it would be in a doctor’s office.”

Xen couldn’t help it the moment she walked in, he burst into a long roll of laughter, a few of the kids laughing with him. He grabbed his wand and quickly flicked their wand, returning all of their hair back to their natural red. “Are they cute or are their faces only those a mum could love?” He winks and ruffles Bills hair playfully.

“I know, Arthur and I have been talking about how little time we have together anymore,” Molly said. Not that she minded at all. She loved having a big family, but she did miss spending time with her husband, one-on-one. The only difficult thing is that there weren’t a lot of people who could handle five kids, two of them being troublemakers like her brothers. “Taking care of the kids is more of a two person job,” she said as she laughed.

Molly had always thought that muggles weren’t at all cracked up to be as all the blood purity idiots believed them to be. All of the things Arthur brought home to tinker with, it was a miracle how they did things without magic (honestly, she wasn’t surprised though with what those devices did). “Yeah, the last thing we would need is Arthur on the floor having a heart attack while I’m on the table making sure the baby is okay.” She laughed at the thought of it nonetheless.

Hearing Xeno’s laughter, along with her own children’s laughter, put Molly into laughing once again. “With hair like that, I think it might be that they have faces only a mum could love,” she said teasingly.

“I love it,” Molly said with a soft smile. She had always intended to have a big family. She hadn’t consciously decided to have six kids, but here she was and she couldn’t have been happier. She was lucky she had met Arthur because she was sure most men wouldn’t be as enthusiastic as him about having a big family. “Yeah, there’s never a dull day in the Weasley household, that’s for sure.”

“I can only imagine the twins with a little Potter baby,” Molly said as she laughed. She knew that James could be quite the prankster, much like her own brothers. Her twins were already taking after Fabian and Gideon. Despite being almost two, they were already showing signs of being the pranksters that her brothers are. “All hell will break lose,” she said as she laughed again at the thought.

“I actually got all the credentials to become a social worker, but by that time I was ready to go on maternity leave and took the step to become a full time mother to show people that being a mother is as much of a job, and a respectable one, as having a paid one.”

Carl - 55 years old - Ravenclaw - FC: Peter MacNeill

When people find out that Carl Prewett is married to Margaret Ackerman, they don’t believe him. He is the opposite of her. Where she is very in your face, he’s quiet. Where she’s hot tempered, he’s very passive. After Molly married Arthur Weasley, she often described her father as very similar to her husband. While Carl didn’t have a fascination with muggles, he was very protective of his family. He often left the disciplinary part of parenting to his wife, and, like his wife, he was more than willing to take in any of his kids friends as one of his own.

When Carl lost his job and Margaret went back to work, Molly became increasingly closer to her father, where once she was close with her mother. It was to be expected when she was spending so much time with the man, but it still hurt Margaret in a way only a parent could understand (whether it was irrational or not, it didn’t matter). Carl, however, reassured his wife that she didn’t love her any less, proven by the fact that once Molly hit puberty, she went to her mother more then her father. The rekindling of the once close mother/daughter relationship didn’t hinder her close relationship with Carl, however. She continued to have a close relationship with her father, which is still a close one to this day.

Whenever the younger woman felt annoyed, bothered by something and even just sad, it was in Molly’s hug that she found the security that was lacking as if everything was solved in only one act of love. So whenever she could, Aly did what it took to be close to her older sister and take care of her too, since she took such good care of others. “Ron is certainly a Weasley! We should put him in the future in a food competition, it would be fun to see how he would do.” She put her hands on her waist in the face of the challenge her sister had given her and then smirked. It was obvious that he would keep them entertained, what kind of aunt was Alice? “Leave it to me! Have some time for you while we start TICKLE torture!” She shouted, turning to them and waiting for them to start running and hoped it was not loud enough for Ron to bother with the noise. “I’ll count to three and find that I’ll make flips and put them on the table to make drawings of stories that Aunt Alice has to fight against gnomes. Ready, Set… GO. I’m coming dancing.”

“Trust me, love,” Molly said as she laughed at Alice’s enthusiasm. She liked the idea, but she wasn’t entirely sure if she herself was ready to see her body in a bathing suit. She couldn’t remember the last time she was in one. “Six kids and five pregnancies does weird things to someone’s body.” Truth be told, though, she wasn’t completely opposed to it. She figured it would be something different and it would get her out of the house. “He would floor the competition, no doubt about it,” she said as she laughed. When Alice mentioned something about a tickle war, the boys screamed and started running every which way, trying as best as they could to avoid running into each other. Molly also laughed and went into the kitchen. If there was one thing she loved to do, it was be in the kitchen. What was even better was that she would have uninterrupted time in the kitchen. The boys continued to run around, all deciding at the same time that they would go after their aunt Alice.

Lucretia Prewett (Née Black) - 55-years-old - Slytherin - FC: Sharon Gless

People would have never suspected Lucretia to be a Slytherin, let alone a Black. She was a proud Slytherin, but she wasn’t your stereotypical one. She never had any intention of joining the dark side. She exhibited every trait Slytherins were known for. She was resourceful, cunning, ambitious, determined, and very clever, which is what Molly loved the older woman for. Where her mother was no help (particularly in the sex department, because who wants to go to their mother about sex tips?), Molly went to Lucretia.

Lucretia is married to one Ignatius Prewett, who is Molly’s paternal uncle. By nature of being close to her uncle, she is close to Lucretia, evident by the fact that Percy’s middle name is Ignatius. While she doesn’t much speak to her aunt, due to having small kids, she still finds time to write to her aunt, occasionally inviting her over for dinner.

Headcanon

Molly is already an affectionate person, but give her some alcohol and she becomes a very touchy, feely person (not in a sexual kind of way). She holds hands, she gently touches arms when she’s talking, and she readily gives out hugs.

Along those lines, she’ll cuddle with anyone and everyone she’s comfortable with. She’s quite the cuddler.

While Molly quite enjoys being pregnant, by the later months of every pregnancy, she’s ready to give birth.

During the early months, she’s the glowing type of pregnant mother. But during the later months, she’s the crabby, don’t touch me type.

The twins pregnancy was the hardest of her pregnancies (not surprisingly considering there was two of them).

She blames her twin brothers for having such a hard pregnancy with her own twins. She says they were bound to be like them even from the womb.

Margaret - 54 years old - Gryffindor - FC: Frances Fisher

Margaret Prewett is the reason why Molly has red hair and much like Molly, her personality matches said red hair. Until the age of about five, Molly was found attached to her mother’s hip, but when her mother went back to work after her father lost his job, she sort of resented the older woman for it. With her father being home all of the time, Molly instantly bonded with father, her attachment to her mother quickly fading. As Molly got older, Margaret couldn’t help but to feel jealous of her husband. However, Carl always quieted her jealousy and concerns about their only daughter not liking her quite as much as she did her father. But as years went by and Molly hit puberty, she rekindled that once strong bond with Margaret, which only grew stronger once she fell in love with Arthur, got married to him and started having kids. Now they’re as close as ever, especially after the pregnancy and birth of Fred and George. With Margaret having been pregnant with Fabian and Gideon, Molly needed all the advice she could get.

Margaret, like Molly, has quite the temper. She’s not one for being passive, much more so then Molly. While most people say that Molly is not only a spitting image of her mother, she has the personality to match the older woman, Molly is a diluted version of Margaret Prewett, but only when it comes to her abrasiveness or her unwillingness to stand down when it came to something she believes in. Like Molly, Margaret is a very maternal, understanding woman who will take in anyone who needs a roof over their head and food in their stomachs.

I honestly can’t imagine Arthur honestly raising anything but the best little gentleman. Especially since they get the true gift of watching first hand of how a man should treat the love of his life. Or really any woman in his life. He’s one of the good ones in this world, and I know that your boys will follow closely in his footsteps making all of us proud of them.”

Pandora knew that her mouth was hanging open as she looked at her friend with raised eyebrows. “Nine years?” She asked before shaking her head. “Absolutely not. You two deserve a night out just to focus on each other and your love. Besides the boys will be perfect angels for me, and if you’re too worried about me being outnumbered I could always ask Xeno to come. I know a few of them like him.”

In all honesty Pandora wanted her friends to have a little girl if only to see how the older boys would react around one. Surely with their pure hearts they would would be the best big brothers the world had ever seen. “Honestly I don’t think you or Arthur would be able to spoil her with having her big brothers around. But I do fear for the day that sweet little girl decides to date. We all know how that’ll end.”

Hearing Pandora’s affirmations about her children being the sweetest people because of her and Arthur put a smile on Molly’s face. While she wasn’t one for compliments like the one that Pandora was giving her, she greatly appreciated them because it’s what compelled her to keep pushing towards the good in the on going war. “He is, isn’t he?” Molly asked as she scrunched her nose up at the thought of her husband. “It’s hard to believe that they won’t follow in his steps, though.”

“It’s not that I don’t think you can handle it,” Molly said as she laughed. “It’s just that there’s a lot of them and Ron’s very much a mamma’s boy.” Ron had proven to be difficult in the sense that he was a mamma’s boy. He was an easy baby, as long as his mother was involved.

Molly laughed again at Pandora’s comment of them not spoiling their little girl, if they were to have one, with so many brothers. Molly figured the younger woman had a point. “With Arthur as her father and quite a few brothers? Yeah, she has no chance.”

For one moment, seeing the kids playing around she could realize that having a family looked a nice idea. Frank would like it, and Alice got into a crazy and happy moment in life. But according to her plans, this would just show up in at least 2 years. “I can help with something, you know that, right? We can also ask for Frank to come over and take care of the kids while we get some tan.” She laughed, thinking how all her nephews loved him and how having an extra pair of hands was always useful at the Weasley’s house. “Ron, how is he? I need to squeeze his cheeks before he starts to be bossy and don’t want to do that anymore.” She heard some giggles from the boys and Alice couldn’t stop smiling. “But we all know that this is not the question; I am here to help you, how can I do that? And also: do we have food?”

“Well you see, that’s why you get someone to take just one. Sure they’re rowdy, but just one rowdy child is manageable enough. It’s the other dozen you’ve got that makes it a problem,” Xen only just managed to contain a laugh in his as the teased the older woman. Naturally they knew the woman would never give up any of her children, even if to make things easier for herself, but he enjoyed teasing her about it. And they knew they certainly couldn’t handle having that many children. 

The laughter finally burst out of him as Molly continued. “Hey, you know, not all things muggle are a bad thing. My mum’s a muggle and sure, some of their ideas are a bit different, but they’re not all wrong you know.” He shrugged lightly. “You do handle yourself well enough with your current brood, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a girl none-the-less.”

Xeno smiled as he looked up at the young boys. He really enjoyed spending time with Molly and Arthur’s children. Sure, several of them could be rambunctious and they would definitely be a handful when they were older, but they were still all good children. They had good hearts and were good boys, each one of them.  

“You can keep the hair like that until your mum gets here. We’ll see what she has to say.” Xen winked at the boys and turned to grin at Molly. “I’m afraid we’ve had a bit of fun Molly. Perhaps too much fun. But it was good innocent fun and now they know a new spell for when they return to school.”

Molly knew that Xeno was only joking, but she didn’t mind because she was going along with it. She wasn’t above an occasional teasing, especially from Xeno. There was always room for some good natured teasing with the younger man. “I’m sure even alone they would give whomever took them hell,” she said. While she knew they were only teasing, it posed the question of what would happened if, for some reason or another, how they would react if they were separated. They’ve never been gone from each other longer then a few minutes.

“Yeah, that’s what Arthur keeps telling me,” she said wit ha smile. She knew that both men weren’t wrong. She had used plenty of muggle inventions and enjoyed them, the record machine Arthur brought home years before being the most notable one, to know that muggles had a way with their inventions. “the only thing stopping me is how Arthur would react with all those muggle machines.”

When Molly came back, a gaggle of her kids with different hair colors, she quirked an eyebrow, a smile slowly appearing on her face. She couldn’t help but to note how happy the kids looked and figured it wouldn’t hurt them to keep it a little bit longer. “Well, it’s a good thing the bunch of you are cute no matter your hair color,” she teased.
