#not about mutuals obviously #but i also understand some ppl ( esp those botn with privilege ) might not understand why marinalized anger is so important !#born*#it's because the whole ' don't fight hate with hate ' argument is a bit misguided #don't get me wrong ; i understand where it is coming from #but that statement implies that the marginalized person is on an equal societal footing with the person in power #which is not true ! and it makes us even more upset #because our entire argument is hinged on our experiences of oppression #so saying that we can't be angry is like saying our argument does not matter or that it is a waste of time #when in actuality anger is not destructive or hateful #it can definitely be utilized in such a manner if the person feeling it is extremist but #that does not define all of us #literally 99% of marginalized peoples ; we use our anger to help spark good change #but people still lump us with the 1% who use that anger in harmful manners #which is ALSO a form of gaslighting because it's guilt by association when such a thought process cannot be applied #anyway i have a lot of thoughts about this but please let us be rightfully angry #we barely have enough rights as is
