“I didn’t realize...” Ororo sighed and shook her head at herself before beginning to clear the skies again.
“And let you get yourself killed?” {Pick a muse any muse? XD}
“I think I can handle it,” mused Blake.
Blake smirked, “Snippy today, are we?”
“Snippy?” Ororo’s eyes returned to their normal blue as she strode towards him, “I would consider that… blunt. Not snippy.”
When I want to reply to a certain thread but my muse is like:
“And let you get yourself killed?” {Pick a muse any muse? XD}
“I think I can handle it,” mused Blake.
Without taking a look, Blake threw a ball of fire at the same target. “He was still twitching,” he mused.
Ororo’s eyes narrowed and she let a lightening bolt fizzle out near him, her lips twitching, “Electricity does that.”
“And let you get yourself killed?” {Pick a muse any muse? XD}
“I think I can handle it,” mused Blake.
“What’s the worst that could happen?” he asked, a flame lighting up his finger as if it were a candle wick.
“The entirely ridiculously long list of answers I have for that question is rather depressing,” she retorted as she slammed home a bolt of lightening where her target stood.
For a moment, Will hesitated, considering; she didn’t exactly have the best track record when it came to schools. Still, she was an adult now, no longer a child under the yolk of authority figures who looked at her like she was an abomination. “…Yeah, sure. Let’s go.”
Ororo gave her a reassuring smile, “I think you’ll find it... enlightening.” She gestured for Willow to walk with her, “And hopefully there’s nothing frozen, on fire, or teleported away somewhere odd.” Her smile was slightly deprecating and she let out a chuckle.
“And let you get yourself killed?” {Pick a muse any muse? XD}
“I think I can handle it,” mused Blake.
Ororo lifted an eyebrow at him, her eyes glowing white, “Somehow, that’s not entirely reassuring.”
“I just need the world to be a little bit more quiet,” Ororo grumbled, debating burrowing her head under her pillow.
It wasn’t often she gave into the urge to relax in bed and she was determined to enjoy it.
A Day With Storm
Luke nodded as he listened to her reply,soon the waitress came and brought their desired meal to their table.”Thanks homie.”Luke thanked the woman.”You know most of the people that work here are people I used to do shit with back in the day.Since society won’t give them a fair shot due to their criminal background I did.I called that giving back to my community and the people who watched my back and never back stabbed me.”
Ororo smiled as she got her burger and fries set up just like she liked it. “It’s not a bad practice. If you can trust them when things are bad, then you should be able to trust them while things are good.”
Sentence memes: sleepover edition
-“Are you awake?” -“I cannot sleep…” -“Let us stay up all night!” -“We should play ‘truth or dare’.” -“Wanna watch a movie?” -“We are out of snacks.” -“Sleep is for weaklings.” -“Are you already sleepy?” -“Did you fall asleep yet?” -“Can I cuddle with you?” -“Let’s have some fun.” -“We should play strip poker.” -“I can barely keep my eyes open.” -“We should go to bed.” -“No, this is my blanket.” -“It’s too early to go to bed.” -“I need another pillow.” -“Pillow fight!” -“Wanna play some games?” -“I brought some booze along.”
MUSE IS UNDER TRUTH SERUM FOR ONE HOUR. ASK ME ANYTHING. NOTHING IS OFF LIMITS AND EVERYTHING MUST BE ANSWERED. GO!
Willow nodded in understanding of Ororo’s explanation. She could empathize with such a mission: she, too, wanted nothing but safety and equality for their kind. So many of them suffered, marginalized and despised by so-called “normal” society. “Then I’m in. Whatever I can do.”
Ororo’s smile brightened and she nodded. “Would you like to come with me to the school? Meet more of us?” Her question was posed carefully, not wanting to rush the young woman into anything that she was not quite ready for.
“Came to visit in general. But I’ll probably pop in on the professor and see how he’s doing,” he shrugged lightly.
“He’s in his office, last I checked. I’m sure he would like a visit that isn’t asking questions about homework,” she chuckled.
“You think so? I’m not usually good at - I don’t know, crime-fighting, or whatever it is you guys do. Marching while chanting and holding signs is more my speed.” The comment was slightly self-deprecating, but in a friendly way. Willow liked Ororo, for all that she’d only spoken to her a handful of times. She seemed like a genuinely nice person.
Ororo shook her head, “It isn’t all crime-fighting and defending the innocent. It’s about protecting those whom no one else will simply because they are different. Whether it’s having to fight for it, or simply giving them a safe place.” Her voice was gentle, as it always was when speaking with Willow, but it showed the strength she had in the conviction for what they did.
“Huh. Well, okay then. You’re here now, though, that’s what matters.” Willow smiled faintly at Ororo; she was nervous, and possibly getting cold feet - but she had to do it. This was important.
“So, the reason I asked you to come. I thought about the stuff you and that professor of yours talked about, and I decided… I’ll do it. I’ll be part of your group or team or whatever you guys are. If you still want me, that is.”
Ororo smiled easily at the young woman, having been curious of her choice but not wanting to push her. “Of course we want you, we don’t simply rescind offers like we made to you,” she explained. “I truly think you can do good with us.”
I swear I live. It’s been a crazy few days jam-packed with work and life things haha.
Just wanted to say thanks to my new followers and offer up threads while I’m online!
“Essentially yes, but it feels slower even when I’m not moving fast as well.”
“Fascinating,” she murmured before shaking her head. “Is there anyone in particular you came here to see?”
