Tony: There are people who pass by us and people we keep around. Acquaintances, friends, family. You don't always have to make strangers' business your own. Not every one should matter to you. It's just the reality of life.
Peter: Then where do I belong in that? I'm just a kid you found on youtube...
Tony: (wraps him in a headlock to pull him closer)
Tony: You're in the Peter Parker category.
Peter (frowning): What does that mean?
Tony: (looks up at the sky to avoid eye contact with the kid, the memory of a boy turning into dust making his eyes prickle)
Tony: It means that if you need me, I'm there. And even if you don't, I'm on your side. And if those strangers matter to you, then they would be my business too.
Peter: Why? Because I'm Spider-Man?
Tony (shakes his head and squeezes his shoulder):
'Because you became more important to me than anything or anyone, more than time or life itself' is what he meant to say, but couldn't. He isn't ready to let the kid know the truth he'd only just recently admitted to himself.
Tony: Because you're you.
