Difference between Krista and Historia?

Krista: Excessively nice to everyone, including those she hardly knows or isn’t even her friend. Puts herself in danger to help someone so people would see her as a good person. A flawless goddess but deep down struggling w/ severe mental issues. Identity crisis, depression, possibly PTSD from witnessing her mother dying before her eyes.

Historia: I personally like to think that Historia genuinely has a good heart. She opened up an orphanage & spends a lot of her time there. Its something she wanted to do & is passionate about. However, she is no longer kind to people at her own expense. She puts herself (she can be selfish sometimes) & those she genuinely cares about (Eren & the children at the orphanage) above everyone else. She’s also rather emotional, brave, & straight forward about what she thinks. Not caring if people like what she has to say or not. Stubborn sometimes too. She was willing to sacrifice herself for the survival of her ppl (having as many children as possible, let her children eat her, then the process repeats over & over) but Eren knew deep down she doesn’t really want that because of what happened w/ her father & sister. Her POV hasn’t been revealed yet but its safe to assume she willing to support whatever helps her stay alive. She made a promise to Ymir to live a long life.

Hello! Found your blog recently and had to follow. Hope you don't mind me asking a few questions. With chapter 123's release, do you think Eren being the father is less likely now or is your opinion on it unchanged? Why or why not? What did you make of Eren and Mikasa's conversation? There seems to be a debate on whether it had romantic implications on Eren's side or not. Just wanted to get your take on it if you don't mind.

Honestly, I’m not the most avid manga reader. This whole Flashback > Real Time > FB > RT > FB > RT is confusing me. Thus, that conversation confused me until I read metas (w/ EH bais ofc, its my ship) which made things make more sense.

Well, whatever romantic feelings she has, I feel like that would’ve been the ideal opportunity to confess but instead she said they were family. Even if she did confess romantic feelings, if Eren is indeed the father (which I think he is), it wouldn’t matter. Until Isayama decides otherwise, EH is the way to go.

what will you do if Eren isn't the dad and EH doesn't become canon?

I’ll accept it for what it is but continue to ship EH because I think they’re cute together.

Who would fall in love with the other first, Eren or Historia? And at what point in the manga do you think feelings for the other would have begun to emerge?

Eren, definitely.

Mhmm, it’s interesting since it was obvious to me that Eren felt a sympathy for her when he saw her being herself, a normal girl. Not Christa Lenz “the kind goddess”, but simply Historia the girl who felt empty. 

… and then he says:

THERE IS SOMETHING I LIKE ABOUT YOU NOW

I love how Eren feels nervous but at the same time he tries to cheer up Historia.

However, I think there was definitely a time when something marked Eren internally, making him question himself and at the same time beginning his more complex development, and this was because of Historia. 

Starting here:

She saves Eren. She chose to be free, thus freeing herself of her father’s wishes to become titan (which Eren had not been able to) and says:

“I’M YOUR ALLY EREN”

“We are enemies of mankind…”

Definitely here you could be sure that Eren opened a place in his heart for Historia.

This is older Historia, with her hair down and wearing the same outfit, appears in all likelihood in Eren's memories. She's crying, and background looks like sunset. And Eren wearing the same cloak in both panels. So the possibility that the father in the last penal is Eren is stronger now.
