ātetsurou kuroo: special contentā
Kurooās hanging leg dangled with each kick he gave. His back hunched over while he swiped on his phone. He pressed the play button, the sound of your voice coming through the speakers.
He hummed in joyance, now positioning himself to lay on his stomach. His left leg was up in the air and his arms were off the side of the bed. His lips puckered when put his chin on the mattress.
A ding came, his eyes flickering from the video to the notification. It came from the person heād least expect.
There could be a millions of reasons why Kuroo didnāt confess. But did he know which one was actually true? Did he not confess because he was afraid of rejection? Afraid of losing a friendship? Making the others uncomfortable? Did he not feel right for you?
There could be a millions of reasons why, but Kuroo didnāt have an excuse. He simply didnāt confess.
He was surprised Oikawa knew. Maybe the extra smile when coming for (Y/N) after school blew his cover. The most fully aware person was Akaashi, who pointed out that he seemed happier with the girl around. Second place went to Suna after a slip up. He didnāt mean to say it, but when it came out, he couldnāt forget the way Suna got quiet and never mentioned it. Kuroo guessed he didnāt hear, yet he was paranoid at the quick quietness.
Was Kuroo that obvious? Did the rest of the Five pick up on his crush? Kuroo had several plans to confess. It came to his mind almost every time he took (Y/N) out to eat in Tokyo. When she would call asking if he could help decide what to wear. When she said,
āI would date someone else before you Kuroo.ā
It was enough to get his hopes up, but āsomeoneā meant he would have to wait. And upon waiting, what if it never came true?
What would Oikawa say at finding out the surprise was to take her to see Ushiwaka? Would he call him and scream into the phone and tell him to confess now or heād do it for him? He was great friends with Oikawa. Talking about girls just wasnāt a thing he did with the setter.
And that was that. Messages dinged in from Oikawa. Kuroo paid no mind to it. He only kept looking through videos and photos. Ones of him and Kenma, some featuring Akaashi, the one time he went to the movies with Daichi, and the several dozens of you.
āShe thinks sheās cute.ā You opened the door to hear what Kuroo was saying.
āThink? Honey I am cute.ā You snapped your fingers making Kuroo laugh.
He swiped to the left, pressing the play button.
ā(Y/N).ā He dragged out your name, zooming into your face. An angry expression masked your face. ā(Y/N), I love you.ā
āShut up Tetsurou.ā You shook your head, biting your cheek to hold in your laughter.
āI mean it. I love you.ā He said again. He remembered saying it the second time. The second time he meant it in a romantic way. He knew you would take it in a platonic, as he said āI love youā whenever you were mad at him. āSay it back woman! Or youāre walking home!ā
The laughter slipped out of you, making him smile at the sound.
āI love you too ugly.ā
fun fact: kuroo asked (y/n) on a date secretly when he realized his true feelings thanks to akaashi. kuroo felt a bit sad when he found out the āsomeoneā was ushiwaka.
