I drew this oni character in either grade 12 or 12+...but i think it was 12....i took some stuff out because i thought it was silly and added some other stuff because i thought it was more dopethrone...i think i had more to say about it but recollection is not on my side right now. Mos def my favorite challenge so far though...i might bust a few more of these out.

So for this challenge, I decided to go waaaaay back... to the year 2000. I was 13 and obsessed with the movies Balto, White Fang and my favourite animals were wolves. So that's pretty much all I drew.

I swear I have a million drawings of these random wolf and husky characters that are all facing the same direction. When I discovered the internet and online rpg a few years later, they'd all have wings and breath fire (still wolves though).

Best part is, I don't remember who this character is. I bet she was a slut.

So I took a sketch I did in 2010 I think. It was for an illustration assignment, it wasn't really good so I decided to re-work it. Bad memories of school. >_<

Week 9: March 22 - 29

This week's challenge is to go back in time. From at least 3 years ago, redraw an old piece of art. This could have been for school, for fun, as long as it was drawn 3 + years ago. Go to it!

I played as Female Shepard when I played Mass Effect. I don't know why, but she seemed to be a bit more badass than her male counter-part. Totally hooked up with Garrus in the end. lol

So i don't know who captain shepherd is since i've never played mass effect..though i'm sure i should...but instead i drew a spacey dude based on Xiahou Dun from Dynasty Warriors...he's a badass captain of this guy called Cao Cao so in space he'd be a badass captain too...fun fact..when a guy shot his eye out with an arrow, Xiahou Dun pulled it out, ate it...then killed the guy. Metal.

This is my Commander Shepard from Mass Effect. I generally went paragon, though I made a few renegade decisions if I felt it was necessary. Mass Effect is an excellent, landmark trilogy; an incredibly important sci-fi adventure full of excellent characters and a fully-realized universe. A must play!

Week Eight: (March14th-March21st)

Okay. Sorry! A little behind schedule here.

This week's challenge is pretty straight-forward: draw your Commander Shepard! If you play Mass Effect this is probably pretty easy/you've already done it, but if you aren't familiar with the series, just draw your idea of a bad ass space captain.

I'm the sort of person who isn't very good at describing their favourite music, so I tried to describe the feeling instead. A safe sort of solitude, visiting somewhere warm and familiar.

Are you ready for a challeeeenge?!

Yes, the answer is yes. This week is going to be different! Well, all the weeks are different actually, but nonetheless. The challenge this week is: Create a piece of art representing your favourite type of music. To elaborate, this could take the form of a character, a setting, something abstract, as long as we get an idea of the energy and style the music conveys. Ok, get gone!

Spiders freak the shit out of me. I'm usually ok if they're just little, bitty ones, but big ol' tarantulas are not okay. Their faces are what really get me. I remember when I saw Shelob in The Return of the King and it was not a good time. Geez. This was not a fun one to do, I got me a mad case of the shivers.

I don't really think there's an animal that i dislike specifically... but if the outline was "what animal would you least like to have attached to your face in a cartoon-like fashion like a face-hugger from alien" then i'd answer a king crab...because that shit would be scary...and don't even get me started on other types of crabs. *queue fake bing bang theory-esque laugh track*
