Hey! This blog is for weekly TMNT Magma Jams hosted by @pvtpunsart! This event is to help foster community and engagement in the fandom; don't be afraid to leave comments or reblog with thoughts in the tags! Artists love that, and fandom thrives on connection!

Here's the low-down:

Themes are announced on Fridays, and the post will contain the length of time available for the Jam. I will try to leave it open most weekends, but if I won't be available to close it it might get shortened!

Jams start on Saturdays, sometime between 5PM and 7PM EST.

A link to join the session will be posted at the start time, and left up until the conclusion of the session, at which point the post will be deleted.

Final boards will be posted to the account the day after the Magma's conclusion

Posts from the artists with close-ups of their work will be reblogged after the final boards go up; you can click here to scroll through the previous final boards!

No. The Magma is for all iterations of TMNT; stop by and draw your favorite!

How do I join the Magma?

The timeframes that the link is posted is at the top. Click the link, and if you have an account on Magma, you will be able to join and draw.

You can check the session link tag to find the post with the link on it, if the magma is currently active.

When will [insert theme here] be back on the wheel?

When the wheel's options start to get limited, we'll hold a poll to find the favorites of the previous themes and add them back on. It might be a while!

On this week's @weeklymagmas we went to Dreamland.

We had more gorgeous palette pages this weekend! And two very different vibes: a nice dream vs a nightmare.

A limited palette Krang nightmare.

This one I pulled straight from a dream of my own. It doesn't look a whole lot like it originally did in the dream, but it has the same vibe.

Is he awake? Is he dreaming? Who cares, he just wants off this ride.

Have you ever caught a glimpse of yourself in a dream, and they make you think "What did I do to become them?" Featuring Leonardo Blue from Once Upon A Dream and Li the Liar from A Dreary Wonderland.

A childhood dream! In Cross The Line, 2003 Mikey, Rise Leo and MM Leo are all raised by 2012 Splinter and they often has sleepovers. Rise Leo has always liked to be the knight in shining armor.

To celebrate putting out the first chapter of Stopgap Measures this weekend, I drew a little something for it! First, a nightmare that will stick with Donnie forever.

AH! A Magma In Dreamland!!

This was... a really pretty magma honestly. So many fantastical elements and just.. lovely colors and scenes. Some horrors mixed in there, but yet.. so beautiful. While I had a few ideas, I didn't mange to do 'em all, I was busy this weekend doing birthday things. But that's okay! I like what I DO have and maybe for the one idea I didn't get to do I'll do it on my own for fun. Or maybe it can be reused in another magma session... we'll see!

First up we have the boys in a good ol turtle pile. They have a whole blanket fort for it and are just all cuddle up. Raph's the base of course to hold his brothers, Mikey gets shell privileges, Donnie is being used as a pillow by Raph and Leo. Then Leo himself.. is being obnoxious and just sprawling out and snoring, I also of course had to give him his sleep mask... it's important to me. Mikey being partly out of his shell to semi loaf is... for fun, he's comfy regardless. I very much wanted Leo to be using Donnie as a pillow since that's very fun, and of course goes back to them as smaaaall freshly mutated turtles, but the position was a little weird so he's just.. more so just all of Donnie as one which is still funny. They're all at least sleeping peacefully <3

Which I can't say for... 03 Donnie in the next one.

In this next/last piece poor, poor 03 Donnie is having nightmares. Specifically about his brothers dying in front of him back in 'Same As It Never Was'. Because for one already seeing a world/dimension where he just vanished one day and the whole world went to shit under Shredder? Terrifying. See his brothers aged, hurt, and broken apart? Worse! Then watching those same brothers die? FUCK! Man! At least he got to kill Shredder but like.. still. Like the other three get sent to dimensions that were fun for them! Mikey got to go to a version where his he and his brothers are superheroes (even if Splinter was evil but.. that didn't seem to bother him too much-), Raph got to ride a space type motorcycle and have fun, and Leo got to visit Usagi's world!! But Donnie gets the horrors! And like he never tells them! The most he does is as soon as the four are back together? Donnie sees Raph & Mikey and INSTANTLY pulls them both into a hug, he's so happy to see them. And it's never acknowledged again! Like! Leo get his own arc after they all nearly die fighting the Shredder, but Donnie doesn't. But that's GOT to have affected him.. so here's it affecting him. While 03 could get dark I don't think it ever showed any blood, since anytime a character was clearly stabbed nothing was shown. Which like! Of course! It's a kids show, they hold back on blood! (Even if I'd say the episode 'Insane In The Membrane is still gorey as all hell cause MY GOODNESS BAXTER--) But I wanted to expand on those injuries, Leo got stabbed in the back by Karai, I think Raph also got stabbed if I'm correct or at least hurt enough by his fighting with Karai, and Mikey got absolutely crushed and sliced by the Karai robots. Like ouch. I can say at the least when he wakes up, he gets biiiiiiig hugs from his brothers and Splinter. He'll be... mostly okay.

And that's all I've got! As said above was doing birthday stuff so not as many pieces but that's okay! I still had fun with these ones as they came out how I wanted them to :]. Everyone had such fun ideas and just.. beautiful imagery. Some silly ones and some nightmares. Loved seeing the color pallet pages again even if I didn't get to do them, people can be so creative with them hehe!! Thank you of course to @weeklymagmas for hosting!!

It's that time again! This weeks Magma was Dreamland jam!!!

There where some good color palettes and I was so glad I had the chance to draw on two of em.

So I broke my own rule (again) and drew Rise Leo (boy always get so much attention so I try to draw any other version of the turtles) But he's been a comfort character for me lately, especially when life is kinda messy.

The pink and blue ish color palette got another version that I tweaked in clip studio, I could not resist.

Not me realizing now that I forgot to draw some of his gear aaa!

I was so happy to join @weeklymagmas this week. The theme was Dreamland. Which was perfect for my AU because in the AU there's a relm called The Dream Relm where Donnie and Vicían first meet and fall in love. And then I also drew my Oc's as well. Still super glad to join this week's Magma! 🥰

@weeklymagmas time!!! Dreamland was the theme and I got a suggestion from @duckcrumbs to do something dreamcore so here's that! Only one drawing this time since I was busy getting my CPR and first aid recert but it was very fun nonetheless and I had some great convos with some awesome people

Imma be honest I'm not the happiest with how this turned out. The clouds gave me a lot of grief and I couldn't figure out the perspective or the rendering for Mickey for the life of me. In general I need to work on my rendering and my backgrounds cause I never actually do full pieces so this was def way out of my comfort zone. I ended up having to call it because no matter what I changed I wasn't satisfied.

I might end up redrawing it cause I have ideas for how to make it better but I wanted to churn out a finished piece before the export. It really was a struggle for my perfectionist ass but alas, sometimes it's better to just leave it be.

So @weeklymagmas was Dreamland themed this week!

I have palette "Moon Knight" Leo with "Moon Princess" Yuki (just wanted to draw big dude with little lady lol).

I have the brothers cuddling in the clouds. I probably should have done different colors here the green is hard to see in my opinion.

I SPEEDRAN Donnie flying with whales. I love the image of flying whales in the clouds.

And we have Donnie counting sheep....but he is big so they have to bounce on his snoot.
