YO YOU PEOPLE WHO WANNA ANIMATE OR JUST BE ABLE TO DRAW DIGITALLY
YOU KNOW HOW THE FANCY ASS WACOM CINTIQS ARE HELLA EXPENSIVE LIKE $1,000 USD TO $2,000 USD?
WELL CHECK OUT THIS BABY:
THIS IS THE YIYNOVA MSP19U AND ITS LITERALLY JUST $600 USD AND IS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME EXACT THING AS A CINTIQ BUT YOU DON’T HAVE TO SELL YOUR LIFE AWAY TO WACOM FOR IT.
BRAH. IT COSTS AS MUCH AS MY WACOM INTUOS 5 LARGE TABLET COST BUT MINE YOU CAN’T LOOK AT YOUR HAND WHEN YOU DRAW BECAUSE ITS JUST OPAQUE PLASTIC.
DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I WISH I KNEW ABOUT THIS BEFORE I GOT MY INTUOS? A LOT. SO IF YOU’RE WANTING A FANCY ASS DRAWING TABLET GET THIS LIL GUY.
I thank Domics on YouTube for pointing this out because WOW. FUCK.

YOOO and try and get it around the holidays!!!! they slash prices near cyber monday!
For those curious, this is what i use! I got it for my birthday at the start of this year from my family and its pretty good! It took a while to get it working because even though i thought i’d gotten rid of them all, i still had some wacom drivers lurking in my pc - so if you’re looking to buy one of these make doubly sure you delete ALL your old wacom/other tablet drivers or it won’t allow the yiynova’s own software to open (bc it just assumes you’re using a wacom) and you need the software to configure everything esp if you’re using it as a dual monitor. Inly issues i have with it is that sai WILL NOT WORK unless i have my main actual monitor disabled. If i try to use dual monitor settings, the pen/brush doesnt display it’s co ordinates accurately at all and pen pressure goes to butts. Photoshop works fine with dual screens tho. I tried some fixes for sai but none of those worked so now i just use the yiynova with my other screen switched off/disabled in my monitor settings. Uh… the other thing is that the yiynova requires a power point plug AND it connects to your pc through a vga port… i didnt have a free vga port so i bought a vga to hdmi mini convertor and so it goes through a free mini hdmi port on the back of my tower. It did come with a usb type cable but im p sure thats for apple pcs so not relevant to me. Also if you’re in australia, there is now a distributor located in melbourne called lion it (im on mobile rn so google it maybe? Can’t add links) and they are super prompt with shipping and will send you those fancy drawing gloves which prevent slipping and line stutters when drawing on the glass/plastic screen.
I’ve only had one issue which was my screen randomly stuttering but im pretty sure that was just old drivers/plugs coming loose from me kicking them accidentally.
For a “beginners” style monitor tablet esp if you’ve never used a cintiq and wouldn’t necessarily be able to tell the difference i’d defs recommend it!
The inevitable has finally happened
FUCK THIS I SPERFECT, IT SHOWS THE ARM PRONATING AND ALL THE MUSCLES SHIFTING ALONG WITH THE WRIST
IT EVEN HIGHLIGHTS THE ULNA BONE
HEY THIS IS THE ULTIMATE ANATOMY REF, FUCK THOSE MISLEADING TERRIBLE FUCKING “ANATOMY” TUTORIALS THAT GOEAS AROUND TUMBLR, THIS IS ALL OYU NEED, LOOK AT THE LATISIMUS STRETCHING OVER THE SERRATUS, THE PECTORAL MUSCLE MOVESUPWARDS AND OVER THE BICEP AND EXTENDS ALONG WITH THE ARM THERES EVEN THE CORACOBRACHIALIS;. AAAA OMFG I’M SO HAPPYYYYYY
Admin Kin here: This is one of the most helpful references in our library, but I wondered if any of our followers might be able to help identify the color coded muscles? It would be great to be able to know what is what while practicing from these sheets!
Sure, @anatomicalart! The colors get reused between the arm/back angles so I’ll separate them.
Arm view: Red = Deltoids (all three heads are in one color) Blue = Latissimus Dorsi Green = Biceps Brachii Yellow = Triceps Brachii
Forearm: Red = One of the wrist flexors Blue = Brachioradialis
Back view, left side: Red = Deltoids (all three heads are in one color) Blue = Latissimus Dorsi Green = Infraspinatus, Teres Minor, Teres Major Yellow = Trapezius (all groups one color)
Back view, right side: Red = Supraspinatus Blue = Serratus Anterior Green = Rhomboids Yellow = Levator Scapulae
A quick guide in how to turn 3D objects into linearts in CLIP EX.
EDIT: FUCK I FORGOT AN IMPORTANT DETAIL:
If clicking on the blue circle symbol doesn’t show the models lineart, you might wanna go and reset the display setting to “normal”.

Okay so I have to talk about this piece of art.
The topic of my art class (elementary school level) today was Elves, and I printed out a bunch of fanart people had made of their Dalish elves to show as examples.
One of the pieces was this piece right here.
One of the girls in my class was looking through the stuff I had printed out and came across this. She stopped, pulled it out, and looked at it for a little while.
Then she looked at me and said “Can I draw this?”
I’m busy with a bunch of other stuff, so I’m not paying too close attention, but I go “Yeah, of course! Do you like it?”
And she says “She’s brown like me! I’ve never seen a brown elf before.”
She was so excited about it that she showed it to her father right when he came in to pick her up (a few hours later) and she even took the original picture home so that she could finish coloring the version that she drew.
Just thought I’d share. Representation is important - she’s living proof!
What a lovely story, thank you so much for sharing it ♥

Site specific art
This is called The Mermaid by Marijke de Goey, The bridge is located in a private park in Auckland, New Zealand. Her work revolved around a wide array of forms including briges, trains, squares, poetry and jewllery. This work is a functional bridge that lays over an artifical lake. The sculpture is consisted of about 22 cubes all 3 x 3 x 3 meters. The walkway sits between the cubes making it a very narrow path giving it a thrilling experience.
Faith moves mountains
1. How did they persuade all those people to join in?
2. Why did they have to shift the dune?
3. Was there any real importance to it or did everyone that participated take it as more of a recreational thing?
