Never Forget - Always Hide.
A STARTER FOR : @defianceus
Even if it were just a minor fleeting and half made thought, just an ounce of belief had Bo waltzing into your bedroom at night to do his civil duty as a ‘hungry monster’. Today, he followed that fleeting little thought into the daytime where he converted himself into a black dog to parade the streets and follow one certain individual. He would always be a few steps behind, covering in whatever dark shadows he could somehow melt into to keep the man from noticing the black ‘stray’ that would follow him everywhere he went. Of course, all the while he would take his time to venture out and accompany those already in bed on the other side of the world to gather more to his collection of youngsters needing a year long vacation as well as giving himself multiple dinners to help satisfy his insatiable need for more and more human-based food. At one point in his little endeavour, he had brought along a little bone with him and sat in the shade beside a convenience store to calmly chew on it like a ‘normal pup’ would. It’s all about fitting into society without actually doing so and with that he earned himself a few pats on the head from children that were now marked with scentless black smoke for later nightmares to consume them.
When night finally cascaded over and Jihyuk was wandering in the dark, he returned to his normal form of a tall man in a black cloak and a hat that covered his face. It was a lot easier to move around and creep since his steps were always soundless. He remembered little Jihyuk - just like he would remember all his children - and how the kids in his elementary would talk about the stories their parents would tell them about a scary man that would come into their room at nights for misbehaving. It was all fun and games, but the idea was engraved into all their heads which were why every year one of them would disappear. The only problem with this case was that Jihyuk had been smart enough to surpass him and cover himself with a blanket shield. Bo would try every night to capture him, but it was always to no avail. That didn’t mean he would give up on him. He had lied to his parents and was now doing illegal things that cost him more as an adult. Bo gave thanks to those kids long ago that now, even as a 23-year-old, the fleeting half thought of some creature taking him away was still there in the back of his mind while walking through alleyways.
Bo couldn’t eat him since he wasn’t a taken child from long ago, but he would do his best to continue to instill a certain fear that would keep him alive in his life. When the male approached his home, he waited for the door to close so that he could knock on it twice before disappearing inside the dark apartment to watch and see the way Jihyuk would open the door to no one. Bo would smile, relax underneath the crevice of the couch and wait patiently with an unhappy stomach. Eventually, he would make things creak, lights shut off, and certain doors crack open. He wanted to kill him and feel the blood pour out onto his hands because that was the most he could do to him. The idea was causing his fingers to twitch and parts of his body tempt him into doing so at any moment and yet he took his time. He waited until his back was completely turned and any fear to calm before standing behind him and whispering :
“I would never forget about you.”
He’s Like A Dog -- But Not.

AND so as it goes, Bo wasn’t always summoned by the thought of parents teaching their kids lessons or children being so kindly afraid of the dark, he was also sometimes summoned by those who weren’t on his list of cravings. Yes! And so it seems that the disguise brought on by the lovely queen of the underworld was no distraction from whom he really was. It wasn’t unlike him not to slither over when someone sends their beliefs his way and it wasn’t the first time that he did. There was no complaint because even if he had been eating all day to try and satisfy his unquenchable taste for human flesh, he still had a mighty high curiosity when it wasn’t a mortal beckoning him with the promise of a new capture and future meal. Besides, those who get between his sharp teeth are forced into the underworld anyway - so being able to stop by whenever asked was something he was now fond of. Persephone was as beautiful and alluring as always and even though Bo held no real attraction to him since his main functions never seemed to surpass his wanting to crack bones and lift children into his sack, he always appreciated staring at him whether he was dressed in the clothing of women or relaxing after a shower.
It only took a matter of seconds to have the Boogeyman creeping in the shadow’s of Persephone's home, stalking him silently as ever between cracks and under dark tables and couches. His hair was a pretty blonde after snatching up children right before the call and hiding them away in his secret area to torture and play with later. Eventually, he did signal his trademark two knocks before stepping out into the lighted area of a living room with his cloak on and his hat covering the majority of his face. The only thing that could be seen was his ever friendly grin peeking out just below it. Not a word was dropped, but he did signal a sweet little wave before kneeling down and bowing to the Queen with the respect she deserved to get. After all, even while secretly sucking the small bits of skin from his teeth, he was still a polite individual wanting nothing more than for the Queen to run his fingers through his hair like he had done a few times before.
The One Who Got Away ---
A STARTER FOR : @xaiphan
BEING remembered was truly a wonderful thing. Those kids he had stolen from their beds late at night for misbehavior years ago would find that one dream or movie that would remind them of a name that would send chills down their spines. The Boogeyman was a common name that would float from parent to parent and just hearing it would remind them of their fearful nights where the knocking under their bed or in their closet meant that they would have no chance to say goodbye to their parents. Luckily for them, the memory of their time spent away was devoured deep into their minds that they were scarred enough not to be able to relive it - and yet, in their dreams, they most likely did. They were all grown now and passing away those dreams like adult nuisances even though it would still linger in the back of their minds every time they went to bed.
It wasn’t every day that Bo would find himself too late to eat certain kids when they were older because life was unpredictable and would take them away before he would even get the chance to. It was a pity really - watching from the darkness the way discovered bodies were hauled from the resting place of street corners, creeks, and alleyways. Beautiful bodies that were mangled, poisoned, or otherwise chopped up by another human out of entertainment purposes. It made him growl in unhappiness that his beloved children were forced out of the world without his help.
What was really rare though was when those dead children would reappear onto the surface of Earth and blink a thought his way. It wasn’t like he could eat them now that they were no longer human, but meeting them and reevaluating their lives and seeing how they ended up was always something interesting to him and so when Xander sent a blink of remembrance his way, he made his way over and crept under his bed. He took a deep inhale and sighed silently from the soft scent of who he used to be. He’d knock like normal.
ONCE. TWICE.
“I missed you, Xander.”
Like this for a starter of any size.
