I've Opened A Redbubble Shop!!!
Hand drawn and painted tudor gown design.
Hi everyone
I've just opened a redbubble shop! It would be great if you could support me by either taking a look at my designs or reblogging this post so that more people see it.
My designs are hand painted depictions of tudor gowns and fashion. I spent a couple of days making them, and thought how nice they would be on a notebook or card.
I hope you all like the look of them!
He’s the original Tu-tu-tu-tudor. Father of that dynasty. The man who closes the War of the Roses. That’s right, that’s right, that’s he.
A doodle of Anne of Cleves
More of my terrible sewing.
Very bad sewing on a shitty little machine.
To the girls in my history modules who I get on with really well, and am too scared to properly make friends with
You guys are really cool...
Corset pattern generator
Sooo, I made a tudor-esque corset (or pair of bodies as they were known) using this generator. Thought it might be worth sharing.

The only issue I had was knowing where to put the boning. I don’t know if that is really obvious or something, but this is the first ‘pair of bodies’ I’ve made and they are actually so comfortable I’ve been wearing it every time I leave the house (which, at the moment, is not often.)
Why won’t my history lecturer let me do my research question about royalty??? All I want to do is fangirl for 3000 words about Henry VII, or Henry VIII’s wonderful wives, like please...
When I first learnt about Henry VIII’s wives, I was about 8 years old. For the longest time, I had one image of each of them. I had a basic idea of who they all were and what happened to them, and I attached that and their names to one portrait each. For example, this one of Kathryn Parr, was Kathryn for me. She was Henry’s nurse, the one who quietly survived by looking after frailing and old Henry. This portrait made me think that she really was this older woman who wanted nothing more than to take care of Henry.
After learning more about her though, my image of her changed. Suddenly, I see her as this.
Young, vibrant, strong. And I’m not saying that there’s anything wrong with the other portrait. I’m just saying that it connected so much to that outdated idea of Parr for me, that I just don’t see that portrait when I think of her now. I see this one. Funny how it changed so much.
I am currently writing an alternate history novel and would love to test it out on some readers. The story is based on what might have happened had Henry and Anne of Cleves consumated their marriage. Please please get in contact with me if you,
Love to read!!! (it’s so hard to find readers)
Love historical fiction
Interested in alternate history
Love the tudor period
Interested in Henry VIII and his wives
I want to know your opinions! Send me asks and tell me what you think of my questions. What do you think?
Catherine of Aragon
Do you think Catherine and Arthur consumated their marriage?
Anne Boleyn
Which of Anne’s portraits do you think is Anne’s true likeness? Which do you think of when someone says ‘Anne Boleyn?’
Jane Seymour
Pretty little maid pushed into the path of Henry VIII by her family? Or scheming, clever woman who knew exactly what she was doing?
Anne of Cleves
Was Anne ugly, or was Henry making excuses to get rid of her?
Katherine Howard
Did she really have an affair with Culpepper?
Theories on why she never conceived?
Kathryn Parr
I can’t think of any questions for Parr. Do you have any? What would you like to know about her?
