seriously. These are the foods keeping people alive, you donāt have any right to tell them itās unhealthy or too high calorie for you. I get this is a competitive illness but it doesnāt make you better to tear other people down and make them feel like they need to try harder to starve themselves. Stop being assholes and let people eat what they feel comfortable with.

Things People Donāt Tell You About Recovery
(this is in no way an attempt to deter people from recovery, just some things that arenāt talked about that I wish I had known)
You canāt just start eating again- while you may have convinced yourself you are in control, recovering and getting back to a normal eating schedule is so hard and mentally draining
You will continue to count calories- the little calculator that is consistently counting and tracking will not instantly disappear, even if youāre aiming for a higher calorie intake youāre still counting and it takes a lot of time and effort to break out of this harmful routine
You will have bloating- since your stomach isnāt used to having food in it constantly, when you start eating again you will be very bloated in your stomach/ face, this can be hard to deal with especially with body image issues but your weight will begin redistributing properly the longer you are in recovery
You will be inclined to binge- when you start eating you might develop an āall or nothingā attitude towards food and start bingeing, this is not healthy, it will be hard to resist especially if friends/ family know about your recovery because they will be encouraging you to eat more
You will relapse- OR at the very least have the urge too, recovery isnāt linear and success comes with preserving even when you relapse and want nothing more than to fall into old habits that seem more comforting
Please try to recover if you can, you donāt deserve this life. Recovery is the best choice for your mental and physical health, stay safe xoxo
