Intro post!

You can call me Nova, I am pronounfluid but I won't be updating my pronouns here anymore as I'm not keeping up with this blog, so just use they/it.

This blog is more or less dead, keeping it up for archive purposes. I might come back someday if I need a space like this again, but in the meantime, a huge thank you to the people who helped me through questioning on here.

I am genderqueer, genderfluid, pangender, omnisexual, and aromantic. I also support and experience xenogenders, so if you are against those, this is not your space.

No DNI, just the catch-all policy of: If I decide I'd be more happy and/or comfortable if someone couldn't see or interact with my blog, I will block them.

Please don't come to this blog specifically to start drama, this blog is a bit of a safe space for me and that's super not fair to me.

It's been a while, huh.

Honestly I don't have as much need for this blog anymore since it was mostly to help me through questioning, which for the most part, I'm past.

But still, I figured I'd hop on here to wish everyone a happy pride month!

I doubt I'll be coming back to this blog, at least not yet, since I honestly just prefer running my art and fandom focused blogs since those are more active interests of mine, but I wanted to stop by and say at least that much.

That realization that you think you've never actually felt romantic attraction and that having the attitude of "a relationship would be great! I'm not super keen on any of the outright romantic stuff like kissing or whatever, but being physically intimate with someone who you get along with really well and can talk about all your interests with would be good! Like a really REALLY good friend who you're committed to! I could go along with everything else if they wanted to, though." isn't actually the 'normal' way to think about relationships...

It's been a while, but happy pride everyone.

Last pride month I was still pretty deep in questioning, but now I'm more sure of myself and my gender fluidity than ever.

I definitely don't have it all figured out, I'm suspecting I may be on the ace spectrum somewhere, but I'm doing a lot better than I was this time last year.

So to all the people who are questioning, I hope you have a good pride month, even if it feels like you'll never figure everything out.

Remember when I said I wasn't actually genderfluid? Yeah I'm going back on that again. Turns out when your gender stays the same for too long you forget that it can infact still change randomly whenever it feels like it.

I do still identify as genderqueer, though, since I feel like that term explains part of it in a way just "genderfluid" can't, y'know?

Pronouns wise my preference has been varying a lot more than it used to, like idk if I can still just say any pronouns or he/they/it, since some days I'm just not comfortable with certain pronouns? I guess I'll just update my pinned post whenever I feel like it with what I'm using currently.

Basically I'm genderqueer but also genderfluid.

So uh... It's been a while, hasn't it?

I've been largely too awkward to post on this blog because I just don't really... Identify as fluid anymore, it fit for a time but it just doesn't work for me anymore. I am now using the term "genderqueer" and as for my sexuality, uhhhhh... Probably m-spec is the best answer I can give right now.

I've changed my blog's name to "weird-ramblings" instead of "genderfluid-ramblings", and I will avoid attaching my blog to any one specific label from here on, as I have a feeling my labels aren't done changing. Idk if I'll start posting regularly again, if I ever did, but I will post when I feel like it.

Update: turns out I'm abrosexual. Huh.

I think the only real reason it took me this long to figure it out is because I had never heard of the term. At this point I'm so fluid I might as well just be water.

(abrosexual is essentially the genderfluid of sexualities, it means your sexuality changes. Example: someone could be gay one day, but asexual the next, and bi the day after that.)

I'm sure y'all will be accepting, you guys aren't the exclusionist types... But honestly saying this makes me a bit nervous, still, this blog has become a bit of a safespace for me, so I figured I should be open about my sexuality. I can and will block anyone who makes rude comments about my (or any other) sexuality/gender

Hey there! I just saw the post where you talk about your sexuality and wondered if I could give you some advice. I've been questioning my orientation during the past week or so again as well, so I've done some research into mspec labels and read a lot of stuff on it online. You can totally identify as bisexual and omnisexual, or just bisexual or just omnisexual. The label has to feel comfortable for you and help you communicate your experiences. During my research I learned that while there are definitions for each mspec label, everyone who identifies with a label will define it in a way it makes sense to them in the end. So, bisexual is a general label that means you're attracted to 2 or more genders. The 'or more' part can also mean all. And you can have preferences while being bisexual or experience attraction to different genders differently. Omnisexual is like, for lack of a better word, a more specific label for that experience. Because it already implies that you are attracted to all genders but with preferences or in different ways. So, if you don't want to (only) use the label omnisexual, you can identify as bisexual, specifically omnisexual or just bisexual and explain what that means to you personally. There are no objectively wrong choices here, since there are many people who feel similarly, yet the words they use to describe their experiences are different. In the end, it's all about what feels right to you. You don't have to publish this ask if you don't feel comfortable doing so, of course! I just thought I might share my experience with this stuff since I've also been thinking about it for a while. Sorry for rambling, but I hope this helps a bit!

Thanks a lot, this is a very good explanation! Personally I've decided to use both omnisexual and bisexual, as both labels describe my experiences and I'm most comfortable using both, but at the end of the day a label is about what makes you the most comfortable.

I think this explanation could be useful for other people as well.

Thanks for the help on the last post, I am gonna start using the label omnisexual alongside the label bisexual. I was worried people would like... Make fun of me for asking??? I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to this type of thing.
