Happy 2nd anniversary to Collective Unconscious! The love and passion our devs and community have for this project cannot be overstated. Things are still very WIP on the new version 1.0.0 and website, but rest assured, we haven't given up on the project.

I want to know about the self mask, i love info-dumps

alright so the self mask is a unique mask made by geli and bstrd together that, when worn, basically makes loper into their own proxy with an associated signature

much different from stowa, since instead of it being a shell or seperate thoughtform, its just lopar themself

while this lets them do stuff like access areas requiring a signature, it also gives a much higher chance for them to be seriously damaged, since any nearby thoughtforms would be able to interface with their mind directly instead of through a barrier

it also means memory bleed gets worse, since it has weird effects when they forget to disable it in embassy memories and stuff yay

the signature is, of course, fully customizable, but since loper isnt rlly well versed with how thoughtform technology works they usually just ask council or geli to help change

like what you saw in the art, how their signature looks and exists prolly also changes how them being hurt looks. so like, if it's just them normally humanstyle, they bleed, if theyre a qou they bleed corru, and if theyre a doll their... hair gets messed up... and they prolly crack if rlly injured

since theyre technically a thoughtform and experiencing their own healing, the process is no longer unknown to them, but it usually sort of reformats in their mind to make more sense to them - geli proly thinks its kinda funny i think...

and yeah geli prefers to be the one to fix them most of the time since she wants to be long ranged support class w/ healing capabilities to balance out the repitoire LOL

its the hair brushing from my earlier art + if they were a Normal human itd be bandages that just sorta disappear after being used and if they were a qou then itd be a restorative cyst

it prolly works like that sorta bc of frame... somehow... at least in memories...
