What made you go with the IDW Bombshell in charge over G1 Shrapnel? I like both, so I’m always curious about people preferences on the Insecticon hierarchy (poor Kickback’s never in charge tho lol)

Honestly, IDW’s Galaxies run featuring the Insecticons is why I favor Bombshell as the leader. It left a bit of an impression on me.

Little thing I appreciate about Bayverse Shockwave's design is that he looks closer to his original in the prequel comics, specifically the DOTM prequel.

But then Optimus destroyed his helm and did massive damage to the rest of his frame.

So, when he appears again, he has a more skeletal appearance. Mostly in the chest where his bulky armor is gone, and now it looks like a ribcage. To me, it also looks like his helm lost its casing so now his optic is fully exposed, rather than seeing out of a narrow aperture.

His mouth in general is just really cool too. It's so creepy. The way the mandibles flare out when he's roaring and flicker slightly when he's prowling around looking for things to shoot. Thank you, Optimus, for giving him that face.
