That’s why “Insecure”, “I May Destroy You”, “Selah and the Spades” and any number of recent TV shows and movies are important. And it is no coincidence that a lot of these new good projects are created by darker-skinned women who knows what’s up and are centering more sisters on the darker spectrum. Long overdue.
