Hate that feeling when something is almost wrong and not quite right
I like how Dungeon Meshi edges cannibalism
Me at the snuff film convention, "when did cinema get so woke"
The human centipede but like as a fashion statement
After seeing those leaks, imma unfollow the House of the Dragons tags and stay away from HotD for my mental health.
Maybe I'll get into Hannbial since I hear That's fun.
I don't want to hear A DAMN THING about those fucking rat catchers after what Rhaenyra did to those innocent people
I like the idea of eldritch lovecraftian horrors as representative of mental illness and see it as an untapped genre although I feel like certain authors like Thomas Ligotti scratch that itch a little and I think there's probably an A24 film out there that comes close to that.
Daily, anomalous entities unite to prevent me from running the most unhinged Vampire the Masquerade this world has ever scene
Imagine taking 15 benadryls then playing Mork Borg with the Hat Man
Are you really my oomfie if you won't cannibalize my sunbaked body for survival while stranded in the ocean?
At the end of Apostles of Mercy and all I can say is.
GET HIS ASS SIS
Sunfyre learning Westerosi to understand Aegon is a mixed bag because on one hand, the idea that the dragons would have an innate understanding of Valyrian is silly and could only hold up as a Targaryen tradition that was carried over from Old Valyria to maintain the image of their Valyrian ancestry or as a byproduct of the possible psychic/pheromonal imprint that dragons have with their riders.
On the other hand, the idea of Aegon conversing with Sunfyre since he was a child and confiding in him so much that Sunfyre knew the language he spoke to him out of love rather than the language he was "supposed" to learn due to tradition.
Like, we could see it as Aegon being incompetent or we could see it as Sunfyre learning the language that Aegon speaks most comfortably because Aegon loves him and he loves Aegon
There will be nothing more disappointing and honestly, offensive as the decision to change Alicent's motivation for putting Aegon on the throne from protecting her children from inevitable bloodshed of those too priveleged to consider the consequences of their actions to "Viserys told me so".
Driftmark was the perfect launch point for her character and its insane that she can watch Vaemond be killed for what she knows is the truth, know Rhaenyra allowed her son to be maimed for what she knows is the truth, and STILL feel indebted to this shitty family of inbred dragon riders.
this is my biggest gripe with this season too because it keeps emphasizing that Alicent's motivation was that fuck ass last wish Viserys told her instead of the jumbled mess of protectiveness against what might happen to her children and a want for power. also how much the narrative likes to frame viserys as this wise king as if the sucession crisis isn't his fault is annoying.
Alicent tragically pushing her children towards their death in an attempt to avoid that very fate? Alicent taking power for the sake of her children, putting them in positions of power to protect them from the threat that is their heritage, directly paralleling Rhaenyra? Nah. She just had a little oopsie, it was a misunderstanding.

He just doesn't look like a Davos
I want to have hope for HotD but its so hard. Aegon's prophecy was something I groaned at from its introduction and to see it play a part in the erasure of Alicent's growth as a character and her subsequent regression into a role subservient to her dead rapists was one thing but to have all the nuance drained from the story in real time is another. The Greens stopped existing as their own faction with their own internal dynamic and became a funnel whose sole purpose is to blow hot air into the asses of The Blacks. Nobody is allowed to actually get their hands dirty and have conviction that they did the right thing by getting them dirty and even when they do get dirty, the narrative tactically ignores it. Its so tiring, because I can see the potential and I want so badly to engage in the discourse that GoT used to bring me but HotD seems specifically engineered to produce toxicity within the fandom with not just the way they decided to advertise the show but also with some of the most bizarre decisions in adapting characters like Aegon and Criston Cole from the source material. They make two sides who have legitimate reasons to go to war with each other and then decide that the figurehead of the Greens will be a rapist and his right hand man will be the violent hypocritical ex of the other faction's leader. It's just bad writing, and I keep trying to find ways to look past it but its still sitting there in the back of my mind.
I rise up from the earth to proclaim my loyalty to King Boy Failure, Aegon the Magnanimous
