The rabbit hole
What looks beautiful in the winter looks like a construction place in summer: The runningyard at Tana Husky. Both, the puppies and the adult dogs occupy themsleves with building tunnels all over. :)
Tana Bru / Norway 2017
Due to a lot of other vacations we had to cancel our “ annual dogsledding”....almost ;) As you can read below: I had the opportunity to visit Tana Husky for some days. Dag organized the last sleddogtour this season so I was lucky to stand on the sled again.
Oh, and welcome the new dog of the kennel “Dag”. The one with crazy beautiful eyes.
Åshild
Please welcome Åshild. This super nice nine year old lady is retired from sleddograces after she made her last 1000 km race last season. Now she will live at our place with our small dog. .... well, most of the time she is spending out on the terrace :)
Puppies of the North / Tana bru
I was in Tana Bru/Norway beginning of june to pick up Åshild (which is now a retired dog and will live at our place from now on) and was lucky to get some shots of the new puppies. Enjoy like I did! :)
Sundown / Madeira
Maktub Guesthouse / Madeira
Steffi and me stayed in Madeira for 12 days a while ago. This beautiful place was where we lived and where we had the pleasure to meet Andria the owner.
More pictures to come later. I shot quite many, so it may take some days...sorry for that! I will keep you up to date!

Guinness the dog
Lets talk about eating outdoor!
During the last 6 years, I have been hiking a lot (mainly with Steffi and our dog Guinnes). And since some years, we are always carrying extra food....
I have been discussing this “eating out” in the more or less wilderness with some people and there is the opinion, that carrying additional weight like extra food is not too smart. But I don´t think so.
The main reason why I go out hiking is, that I want to feel connected to nature. Although I have a huge respect for marathon-hikers and I don´t want to deny that they have fun and feel connected aswell, I am not that kind of backpacker.
For me, searching the perfect spot for a short rest, preparing the stove and food, and drink some warm tee and cold snaps are essential when hiking around. While eating and sitting on the trail, you can take time, look around, hear the animals and “get a real part of what surrounds you”...and for that I love to carry extra weight. (altough you have to keep the balance: Steffi and me carried some beers and a bottle of prosecco plus fresh tomates and stuff like this once: It became a nightmare of weight... So watch out for good meals which you can prepare fast; that´s also an essential when beeing in cold weather: Fast and effectiv!)
So...hope you enjoyed this little “article” :) See you soon.

Hiking Austria
there is not much I can tell about Austria...it is a pure beauty and espacially Gastein is one of the best spots I´ve ever been in the alps. No matter where you look, you can always see mountains everywhere, plus: there are some great spots which are not too crowded so you can still feel that special, hard to describe recovering loneliness.

Hiking in Winterberg
There is not much to say: This destination is only about 2 hours away from were I live and I still can´t belive that I have not been there more in the beginning wintertime. Pure beauty with that fog all around.
Sweden
It´s been way too long since I posted new stuff and there is a lot to tell and show. But first things first:
As I posted last time we been back in Sweden for a couple of weeks. This time, we took our dog Guinness with us and were not really sure what we want to do exactly.
Plans were made and remade all day long and we had some discussions about what each of us wanted to see and experience. In the end, this was what we did, and we had an amazing time:
During the first two weeks we visted our friends Mia and Frederick on their farm in Vetlanda. Although it was a bit wet all day long, we enjoyed working with the dogs, preparing some rabbitcages for the winter and helping out with slaughtering some roosters. And last but not least we were finally able to go out hunting. I am going to write about that next time.
After two weeks in Vetlanda, we decided to take the ferry to Gotland and got ourselves a really cozy home via airbnb. (You will find it if you search for a great home in Gotland, otherwise contact me!)
It was getting really cold there and we had to light the fireplace all day long..really great. We were also able to do some hiking and visited the beautiful town of Visby a couple of times.... I will upload more pictures of this soon.
So long :)
Planning.
After a couple of weeks we are now relativly sure what we are going to do in october: Currently we are planning to walk the north part of the bohusleden (bohusleden.se), starting from Uddevalla and ending in Strömstad. I think we will have some nice foggy days ;)
