Honestly I love weki meki but I’m so incredibly sadly far behind on everything in life and it’s hard to find time to love and support them... all I do is listen to their music but hey that’s p good.
Do y’all have a favorite song of theirs??
So this semester in college I’ve been feeling super extra depressed and it’s really hard for me to get myself out of bed and go to my classes or want to do anything at all, and it doesn’t help that I don’t find any of my classes enjoyable and I don’t rly have any close friends or roommates sooo here’s my post on how to keep yourself and your life together while going through a situation similar to mine.
Find a reason to actually want to wake up in the morning. Maybe wake up a little earlier and watch an episode of your favorite show before you absolutely have to get up, maybe ten minutes before you have to get out of bed you’ll play some relaxing ukulele music so you have ten minutes to kind of pull together the motivation to wake up, get up so you have time to spend a little bit longer in the shower, maybe write in your journal in the morning, wear your favorite outfit, watch the sunrise in your blankets, eat breakfast for once.
Going to class is incredibly hard sometimes. Find a friend in that class or maybe someone outside of the class and have them text you and beg you to go to class. Enlist all the help you can get. Start a points system for yourself. If you make it to all your classes at the end of the week you can have a donut. Tell your classmate that if you don’t make it to class you owe them a dollar. Even if you only show up for the last ten minutes of class, be proud of yourself bc wow you actually went to part of class and that’s better than nothing.
Find something to look forward to every day. Get off your phone for a little bit and draw with crayons, finger paint, write something terrible and laugh at it. Cook something simple. Get your hair wet and style weird spikes into it. Don’t be afraid to go out alone. Walk around walmart and find weird things for an hour. Get yourself out of your typical hang out places so you have something to actively do with your time.
Do your homework. Go by the five minute rule. If you have a project due or really, anything due at all, just start by working on it for just five minutes. Chances are you’ll keep working at it for a little bit longer and even if you don’t five minutes is more than no minutes. Doodle on your notes. Get multi colored pens.
Eat food that makes you happy. Buy lots of fruits and vegetables that you actually like to eat. Indulge in little snacks here and there. Call someone over and make them cook with you. Make something for someone else secretly. If you forget to eat or just don’t feel like eating, at least eat one piece of cereal, or find something that makes you happy to eat. Don’t overthink eating too much, it’s just important that you stay nourished.
It’s either hydrate or die-drate. Drink all the water you can and let it flow through your veins.
Cleaning. If it will only take two minutes, just do it and get it over with. Get into the habit of putting clothes away as soon as you take them off. Spend five minutes everyday cleaning. Whatever you dont finish can be done the next day. Accept the fact that your room, much like Rome, will not be finished in a day.
Most of all, explore things that make you happy. It’s important to work hard, but when you can’t get yourself to do anything, remind yourself that it’ll get better soon, and this is only a small moment in time.
