Some Short Lucifer Theories/End Scene Comments
Theory: The end scene is a memory of when Lucifer first fell from heaven induced by getting knocked out by someone (Perhaps another celestial being since Chloe wasn’t around? Azrael perhaps???) The writers seem to not tweet or comment too much about the possible appearance of Azrael so it could be possible we will see her appear in S3.
in the comics it’s revealed that Hell was a gift as it was the farthest thing from Gods throne. Hell looks different from S1 because throughout time hell shaped itself to Lucifer’s will
the more Lucifer punished and tortured and “became” the devil, the more hell became dark and
Theory: Lucifer is actually stuck in a void created by him when he used the Flaming Sword to send Mum away.
Because os his growth throughout the two seasons, his wings have been restored to him as a gift of God
this is the beginning of his path to redemption
now here is where we could start to argue that Chloe, miracle produced by God, is Lucifer’s salvation. (I believe someone made a post about the difference between Redemption & Salvation, but I forget who sorry; maybe @sanoiro ?)
Anyway, Redemption “refers to the price that you have to pay to get back what is yours, but has been lost,” while Salvation refers to a “person’s being saved before God, which includes being forgiven of his sins, being spared from perdition, being regenerated, having the eternal life of God, and becoming a child of God”
The song in the end scene is called “The World is Unraveling” just in case anyone was wondering
When season 3 does start, I believe there will be a time jump. Maybe a couple of weeks or a month. Chloe will desperately be trying to find him (she won’t react to his disappearance like she did in 2x14) and wherever Lucifer is, whether stuck in this void or maybe held up somewhere by his devil-napper, he will be anxiously trying to get back to Chloe because he won’t want her to think that he abandoned her again. I’m thinking we might see them reunite at the end of 3x01.
Also as it has been stated before, the first 4 episode of S3 are the leftover ones of S2 (2x19, 2x20, 2x21, 2x22) and they are stand-alones meaning they will not add to the on-going plot.
