Once again. Another Fic

We ball it's JJK time.

Uh TW in advance: Dark themes, assassination attempt, mentions of weapons, implied cannibalism, imprisonment, just beware. It isn't light hearted.

This job was supposed to be easy. It was supposed to go down without a hitch. And yet it didn't. Toji didn't even remember how. Or why. How long had it been? A month? Probably. He couldn't remember much.

It was dark and musty. Toji hated this kind of weather. It was harder to shoot in, but if he wanted the money, he'd have to manage. His target? Ryomen Sukuna. Godfather to some, enemy to others. He had a clear shot. He could see the back of the bastard's head. Pink hair, big head, broad shoulders...

Why was he freezing up?

This was the shot, so why couldn't he move? Why were his hands shaking? He leaned away from the scope, took a shaky breath, and- Where'd he go? When he looked through the scope, Ryomen was gone. No.

He was right there.

He barely got his head turned before he felt pressure, fuzziness, and then there was nothing...

Right. Ryomen caught him.

Toji let out a grumble as he looked around the same cell he had been in. It was cold, dark, lined with stone. His wrists were bound by chains and cuffs. Neck too. It was all so cold and musty. Emerald eyes moved around the cell, to the bars, then to the floor. He counted the stones. One... two...

His head snapped up, chains rattling, when he heard steps and keys. Was it that time already? He straightened as he saw that imposing figure standing at the door now. For a man as large as that, Ryomen was fast.

The door opened, creaking and making Toji cringe at the sound. It hurt a lot. He watched the older man step in. It was still hard to believe he had been taken down by a guy 10 years his senior. Emerald trained onto crimson as the man moved, a plate hitting the floor with a rattle.

"Food." Ryomen grunted, sitting on the floor.

Toji found it strange. The man always sat there and watched. Watched Toji eat. He personally found it creepy, but nothing ever happened.

He picked the plate up when the taller man stilled. Meat and rice. Same old thing. He ate, even with crimson eyes constantly tracking his moves. He had always compared those eyes to blood. Human blood seemed closest.

Disgusting.

Toji hates thinking about anything human regarding meat and blood while he ate. It made him never want to finish.

It was only moments before he took the last bite and placed the plate on the ground. He watched Ryomen grab the plate and stand. He was curious.

That was a mistake he would soon learn.

"Hey, random question, but what have you been feeding me?" Toji asked, brow raised as he watched the other man stop moving. Something told him he should have shut up when he saw the man turn his head and just stare before speaking.

"Meat." Ryomen grunted, crimson meeting emerald.

"No kidding. But what ki-"

"Human."

Toji swore he felt time stop. That one word...

Human.

He wanted to deny it. Say it was wrong and that he was just being messed with. But the wide, manic grin and half-lidded eyes plastered on Ryomen's face... The fact the meat tasted like nothing he had before...

He was going to be sick.

Human.

He should have known. Maybe should have never trusted the food. But he was just desperate and hungry. He heard rumors of Ryomen being a cannibal but...

God, why did he doubt them? He doubted them all and now he was paying the price.

He could only watch Ryomen walk away with a deep chuckle. One that echoed in his mind.

He just ate human... No, he had eaten human for a long time...

He couldn't turn back now... The damage was done.

He wished desperately that he had either taken the shot, or been killed instead...
