I think i have a twisted mindset because growing up i was told that all of humanity are sinners and rotten people and we're all going to hell unless we devote our lives to Jesus. But on the flip side my folks raised me to have an open heart and see the goodness in everybody, because most people are good people.

Even though ive been an adult and out in the world for a while now, it just hasn't been long enough for me to decide. Do I think all people are rotten or do I think all people are good? I'm leaning towards the latter but I can't deny I have a misanthropic streak. I do believe people can absolutely be cruel on purpose but that cruelty doesnt exist in a vacuum
