I’ve seen a lot of posts lately from people I follow where creators are feeling bad about themselves or their content - or where they are struggling to find motivation or happiness to continue doing what they do.
I see a lot of people taking breaks to try and stop them from burning out so they can come back to making more content but they’re afraid that if they’re gone for too long, their fan base will disappear.
And it’s so disheartening, to see these people giving so much of themselves for, quite frankly, so little in return. No one reblogs anymore. No one comments. People don’t follow like they used to.
Knowing that people like what you create, enough to like, comment and share it with others is literally what keeps creators going. It's what makes us feel good about what we make, and makes us what to make more.
Artists, fanfic and headcanon writers are the people that keep fandoms alive. They’re the people that are constantly putting out content for other people to enjoy.
And the worst part is these content creators are apologising for needing time off, for not being able to finish a request or sketches. And it’s bullshit.
Nobody who spends their time and energy to offer free content should feel guilty about needing time off. You do not need to apologise for not being able to - or not wanting to finish something, when you’re the only one putting in effort.
It’s so frustrating. These people are worth so much more than they are getting. They’re taking breaks just so they can get straight back into creating again, spending all their free time to try and make something that their friends and followers will enjoy to get hardly any support at the end of it.
I understand why half the people on this site just stop making shit these days.

But as his vision started to blurry in the empty room where he couldn't stop training, he realised how much he did envy your power, after all. This feeling of inferiority he felt for years with All Might, he was now able to feel it back with you. You, who came out of nowhere to threaten the place he finally acquired after all this time.
