#004 The Afterlife
After his somewhat rocky departure from the Gunners, Cyrus took up work at a friend's junkyard, shacking up with two of his best friends from outside the company, John and Reggie - two pre-war ghouls. While the three of them were deep in their respective bottles one evening, they began brainstorming idea for a bar where Cyrus and John could ply their trades - Cyrus as a drinkslinger and John as a tattoo artist, and this was how the idea of the Afterlife was born.
It took the trio several months of hard work to complete, but eventually they had managed to clear out the nearby Union's Hope Cathedral in Cambridge, fortify and refurbish it, and make it fit for business.
The main chamber of the old cathedral has been turned into a bar, with the crypt making up John's tattoo parlor. The upstairs rooms have been converted into sleeping space for the two of them, as well as additional rooms for rent. The cathedral itself has received a rather haunting overhaul, with glowing bottles and skulls with candles making up a small selection of the decor as well as old, restored candle chandeliers.
As far as clientele goes, the bar is mostly frequented by mercenaries, but the doors are open to anyone who behave themselves. If they don't... well, at least it's a short way to the cemetery outside.
