A few months ago I made a simple drawing of a Laywright x Nutcracker crossover from the Barbie version. But I finally decided to write a one-shot that later ended up being a story with more episodes.
This story will be published on my AO3 account, and I'll keep you updated on the progress of its creation, which is quite a large project. However, I have the support of colleagues who have been making the process easier for me!
The updates I can give for this story are that the official designs for the story and a prototype of the logo are now complete (although it certainly still needs improvements)

This may contain spoilers for the Ace Attorney, Apollo Justice, and Professor Layton series.
So let's start one by one!
Phoenix Wright
Phoenix's design is based on a combination of his lawyer's suit as well as the costumes of male ballerinas! This one protects him well from the cold and will have a second version in the future.
Hershel Layton:
Hershel Layton is primarily based on the original design of Prince Eric/Nutcracker from the Barbie movie. However, its colors were changed by Layton's color palette!
Trucy Wright:
Trucy's design is a combination of her wizard outfit and candy! She'll be a candy citizen!
The candy it was based on was konpeito! A candy shaped like little stars and in different colors.
Maya Fey:
Maya Fey's outfit is based on a combination of her medium uniform and Taro's desserts/sweets!
Part of her cape is slightly burned due to the effect of burnt marshmallows
Miles Edgeworth:
Miles Edgeworth is based on red and green peppermint candies; this was considered appropriate due to his personality!
Dick Gumshoe:
Gumshoe's design is based on a combination of his detective outfit and gummy bears, along with Bubblegum! I had to admit it, the effect of unchewed gum on his shirt was hard to imitate :'D!
Apollo Justice:
Apollo's outfit is based on Red Velvet and references his lawyer's suit! Although there has been talk of replacing the candy pearls with another type of candy
Athena Cykes
Her outfit is based primarily on mandarin/orange desserts, but more specifically on the Orange Cake Roll!
Luke Triton
Luke's costume is the one where there was the most creative freedom, but it's based on the uniforms he wore as a child! The sweet treat assigned to him was milk chocolate and its different presentations in desserts.
These are all the designs; details may change, but other than that, this is the design progress!
Speaking of the story's design, I must say with a touch of sarcasm that it's halfway through and going very well! It should be clarified that this is specifically set a few years after the end of Unwound Future and when Phoenix has just regained his position as a lawyer.
There will be other characters who will appear, others who will be mentioned since honestly there are too many considering the two sagas xd
And the main villain is also being redesigned!
Also, there's a possibility of making a trailer for this fanfic when it's finished, like an announcement. Other than that, I think that's all I have for now.

Note: concider this an Au!! I’m well aware that Vanitas is unlikely to be so comfortable and happy in a scenario where his arm, displaying a sign of his impending doom, is exposed like this. I understand if you feel like this bugs you, so please imagine that this is an AU where Noé is a photographer and Vanitas is his model, so the mark is not actually harming him.
Also the visuals were inspired by pictorialism and cyanotype photography, which was already around during the time of current VnC events. Emergence of pictorialism actually predates it, and the photo by one of the most prominent women photographers of this movement, Julia Cameron, which inspired the pic of Vanitas surrounded by flowers, was made a couple decades before the current plot.
