Welcome to the Tumblr blog that houses all things related to Chip and Potato! A cute little preschool show about a pug and her secret mouse friend!
🐶 What to Expect? 🐶
A majority of these would be reposts of past discoveries and official content since I've shared these before. But outside of those, fan art and any new stuff will be posted!
🐭 Important Tidbit 🐭
I don't block people but if I feel like you're making me feel extremely uncomfortable then blocks will happen. Basic DNI applies here. Ask box are open randomly. I once again must firmly state that I am a fan and have zero connections to Wildbrain nor any staff who worked on Chip and Potato.
In the Helioverse timeline, the Happy Hoppers classroom is the smallest Rainbow Forest has had in years. This is mostly due to Chip's class either just becoming parents themselves, are childfree, or are no longer living in Happyton. Only four students in the current roster are children of previous Hoppers.
Mrs. Whale at some point became the new permanent kindergarten teacher after Mr. Diggerty's retirement (which itself was a little messy which could've resulted in him either being fired or choosing retirement early.) Now as a more experienced teacher, Mrs. Whale has more control over her laughing and thankfully nowadays no student nor staff has gotten wet since. In regards to teaching, Mrs. Whale has Mr. Diggerty upbeat and cheerful style while still keeping it in her own style, she tries hard to avoid the same mistakes Desmond has done. So far she thinks she's doing a good job, her students haven't complained!
As for the students themselves..
Désirée Pug-Hyena may be the daughter of Chip and Howie, but at most she's like the Mandy (Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy) of Rainbow Forest School. She's nice when she is but overall prefers to be anywhere but here. She is often the bully's bully though when she senses anyone getting wrongly picked on. Thankfully, Mrs. Whale has eyes and often acknowledges that whatever Désirée does, someone provoked her. Désirée practically respects you if you respect her and others.
Snickers Grand is Gigglish's nervous wreck of a kid, means well but sucks at every sport imaginable. Snickers is much more fitted in the arts and crafts corner and enjoys that much more than cartwheels. They do feel a little disconnected from their mother though, but that's Gigglish failing to understand that her child simply doesn't like sports. At least Snickers’ classmates understand them far better!
Lyn Emu may have a see you next Tuesday as a mother, however miraculously Mona is practically the best mother one could ask! Mona is heavily aware how much she sucks and is trying her damndest to keep Lyn from that same fate. Gives Mrs. Whale a break from the helicopter parents at least.. anyways! Lyn is the most normal out of the class, unfortunately she does suffer from rich kid syndrome and gets surprised when her classmates don't have the same lavish lifestyle as her. Lyn means well though! Lyn's biggest interest is the weather and will ramble about the weather if given the chance.
Leonhardt "King" Roar is Betsy's nephew whom she adopted from her currently no contact sister. Leonhardt likes his auntie, but unfortunately the kid's a pessimist and a bitter one. Very good at sports though when he actually tries. He's only managed to be extremely close to Matthew Rat, close to the point that if he could..he'll move hills for. Matthew and Leonhardt are rarely seen apart and often do everything together. Matthew's timidness and kindness perfectly balances Leonhardt's selfish and aloof nature.
Lopsy Bun-Bun is the most bubbly Happy Hopper there is, that 90% of the class doing things is mostly because of her giving them endless pep talks. Lopsy finds the best in everyone and loves befriending her classmates – even if sometimes it's one-sided for some students.. despite this, her classmates often will rally for her in a heartbeat! Lopsy loves anything pink and dreams about making her own soda brand one day.
Worville Pigstol is just the bully. Plain and simple. Nobody truly knows what's going on in his mind, but he's just a little jerk. But he knows better to misbehave in Mrs. Whale's class, she actually doesn't tolerate his shenanigans and neither does the most deadpan of the students (aka Leonhardt and Désirée). Worville barely lets people see his sensitive side, but Lopsy swears up and down there is one and who are we to deny her claims?
Best friend of Worville, Theo Clydesdale is his enabler. Theo does genuinely care for it's small buddy and is the much nicer of the two. Nobody quite knows what exactly Theo is, the Scottish filly says it's neither here nor there. And that's fine by them all! Theo often enjoys writing and kickboxing, it's too young to enroll in classes for such though. Worville always gleefully volunteers to help out! … Probably the few times that piglet expresses excitement.
The description of the plushie strangely mentions the use of batteries for the toy (and as of now, has yet to remove that section). The toy is a purely stuffed and doesn't come with batteries; however this may imply that the jumbo Chip plushie may had required batteries at first – such as a potential talking electronic toy.
An animation reel from "Big Happy Fun" shows off early animation and non-edited voice acting from many episodes, one of them being "Morning Potato!". This animation shows some early errors, one of them being Chip briefly losing her eyelashes.
