I really was starting to miss my Merida blog, rping her in the roleplay group I was in just wasn’t giving me as much of Merida as I would have liked, so I’ve decided to have an independent roleplay blog for her again. I’d love to get some conversations and threads going - but I really have little clue on how to do that. Most of my rp partners over here have gone inactive. I’ll be seeing you (hopefully). Bye!

a random, but totally relevant question. considering the fact that he ran straight into the creature ( that had been parked outside the apartment, might he add — ), bolin was really holding out for an answer here.
…it had also snatched five yuans right out of his pocket & at this point, all he was really hoping for was a refund.
At first the girl's lips curved into a smile to see Bolin, but seeing the look on his face --- and the question he asked she shied back, nervous laugh and forced smile replacing the easy one she had previously.
“I--- I might?” Although she wouldn't know if Angus would have appreciated Bolin asking if she owned him. The redhead moved her hand, pushing her unruly curls over her head and nervously chuckled. “--- Yeah, alright. Ah dae. But, dinnae tell anyone, He's h a r m l e s s really!”
"Ahh, what?! That ain’t far, we haven’t even had a damn flake of the stuff yet!” Tex muttered petulantly, jealousy bold and unhidden - he adored snow. It was always fun to have fights and build snowmen with Rapunzel and watch the dogs roll around in it. “Yeah, you and me both, Red. Christmas is awesome.”
“Ah’m sure it’ll come – gotta remember, tho, back hame’s the highlands.” She teased with a stick out of her tongue. “Last Christmas feels forever a-ago,” She laughed as she moved her hand to push some of her massive curls away from her face, “Though ah have’nae got all my presents yet fer everyone-“ And with that, she snapped her fingers, “Whit dae ye want? Gimme some ideas, Cowboy.”

“Did ye know the hills in Scotland have snow on them already?” Merida was so excited for this coming Christmastide. Ever since she and her mother had managed to make up after the bear incident things had been getting better and she could just bet there would be no talk of suitors. Apart from the fact Queen Elinor likely would invite them to the festival. “Christmas is comin’ an’ ah cannae wait.”
"It’s sheep stomach, right?" He shrugs at Merida. "I’ve had worse, if you can believe it." He sticks his fork into the haggis and takes a bite. It takes thirty seconds of chewing to get it down. "That…was pretty nasty. I’ll still say I’ve had worse."
She watched as he tried the haggis. Her freckled nose wrinkled as she moved her hand up to her mouth to stop herself from gagging a little at the sight. However, when he said that it was nasty – she couldn’t help a small scoff, roll of her blue eyes and shook her head, “Whit’s worse than tha’?” If there really was something worse than haggis then the princess didn’t want to hear about it.

"Are ye sure, ye wanna eat tha'?" Merida questioned, pointing down towards the haggis that was on the plate before her. She wouldn't have ate it - she h a t e d the stuff; and was most likely the reason her younger brothers wouldn't touch the food either. "Ye know whit it is, right?"
Okay so I've decided to come back onto this blog and roleplay Merida again; I've changed my URL from wellthatsattractive to reubalach and am looking forward to getting some new threads. (Debating on deleting my old posts as it's been so long.)

When she mentioned the length of her dress, Mako couldn’t help but look down at it. Which was a bad idea on his part. He had a nice view of hips, waist, and legs now that he hadn’t gotten when she first entered the room. The blush that had wanted to dust his cheeks earlier came back and he was again fought it off. Yes she could have picked a different dress- a dress that didn’t make him think like this. If she was going for the sex appeal approach to these job interviews then he would have to say she nailed it. She wouldn’t be unemployed for long and he hoped that was all that happened as he didn’t want anything bad to happen to the red head.
"Fine, forget I said anything," he growled, wanting to put an end to this. He had been enjoying the peace and quiet before she came into the room and he wanted that back. Getting more into this argument with her wouldn’t do that. "Do whatever you want, I don’t care anymore." Well that wasn’t true. He cared but Merida would be the last person to hear him say that.
“Oh fer Spirit's sake make yer mind up!” The princess growled as she moved her hands to her hair and dug the fingers into the thick curls. This was just as bad as being back home in the Earth Kingdom. All she wanted was to do well, get a job – pay him flipping back to get him off of her case – and just live. Merida honestly didn't care if she was never treated like a princess again. Honestly, being a princess sucked with the way that her mother treated her. Sure, she supposed Queen Elinor loved her. They had been through a lot together. Heck, the things they went through were things that would change any family bond. She just didn't expect that things would change a second time and that Elinor would be so forceful with getting Merida married off. She didn't want to be Queen! There was nothing she wanted less. The idea of ruiling a Kingdom had her stressed out. That should have been a job for one of the triplets; (whichever one was oldest, she just didn't have a clue. Her mother wouldn't tell her, she wasn't there when they were born, and the boys never spoke... she would have supposed Harris for he was the one that was their little 'leader' but who knew.)
“Ah'm headin' now.” She grumbled as she turned on her heel and made her way to the front door. Swinging it open she looked over shoulder. “Thanks fer the scoldin, Mum.”
He wasn’t one for shopping. The only store of shopping he did was food shopping really. When it came to clothes shopping he tried to stretch his dollar as much as possible. It mattered very little to Mako if he and Bo were wearing the latest trends. All that mattered was his brother had something to wear and wouldn’t have to worry about getting a new set until he ripped his current ones bad enough that Mako couldn’t repair them. He wanted to say that it was just a girl thing that made Merida come up with that excuse but he knew she was right. Just because he admitted that she was right didn’t make what she did any better.
"I don’t care about that," Mako said as he got to his feet. "What I do care about is that you spent my money without asking. If you had just come and asked me to buy you a dress then I would have done it. I wouldn’t have even made you pay me back for it." Because it was something she needed and he understood that. If she was to pay him back then she needed new clothes to get a job. She just didn’t need to go behind his back about it all.
He was really pushing it – like, really pushing it – and it wouldn't be long before the princess snapped. She groaned, throwing her head back and tried her best to reign in her feelings. Furrowing her brow she straightened her stance and raised a ginger brow. Really? Really, he was going to act like this? As if she really wanted to borrow his money. He had given that money to her to get a job, and she had used it to get the dress so that she could attend job interviews. Didn't that count as getting a job? Ugh, who cares.
“If yer goin' tae act like my mother, Fire Boy, at least complain the dress is tae short first.” That was what this was feeling like. Like she was back at the castle getting grilled for doing something wrong by Queen Elinor. She wasn't going to stand for it. She didn't listen to her mother when she was ranting at her, what made Mako think she would listen to him?
If she thought he was mad right then she really hadn’t seen him mad. His temper could be far worse when pushed in the direction but he had control over it right then. The matter hand wasn’t exactly that big or so Mako kept on telling himself to keep his temper down. She could have bought something worse and therefore spent more of his money. She hopefully only spent one match worth of winnings when she bought the dress. If that was the case then he just needed to make sure they won the next one to earn it back.
He would even admit to himself that her reason for buying the dress was a good one. It would have been hard for her to get a decent job looking like someone from some remote village in the Earth Kingdom. That didn’t give her the excuse to take his money without asking him first. “So in this grand scheme, it was also a good idea to take my money without asking me first?” Running a hand through his hair he said, “You know if you just asked me then I would have bought it for you.”
He wasn't going to let this drop was he? Just as he wasn't going to let it drop that she had all that money to pay him back. Well, sorry to tell you this Fire Boy but to pay you back, she needed to get a job – and she wasn't going to get that job with the way she was dressed before.
“Well,” She scrunched up her freckled nose, “Someone might o' bought the dress by the time ah came and talked tae ye aboot it.” It was a lame excuse, but an excuse that should have got her away with it – right? Well, possibly, if the person wasn't as tightly laced as the firebender in front of her. “Really, yer goin' tae, really be on my ass aboot this? Come on – it was a guid idea! Let it go.” She huffed, dropping her arms by her sides as she blew out air, pursed her lips and rolled her eyes. “Ah did'nae dae any harm.”
Like every other time he ignore her when she told him to stop calling her princess. The nickname just seemed to stick with the way she acted and knowing that it annoyed her a little when he called her that made him want to use it more. But that wasn’t the problem right then. Mako was more concerned with finding out if she used his own hard earned yuans to buy that new dress of hers. Even if it looked good on her, he was still a little pissed off about it. The least she could have done was ask. Yes he might have added it onto her debt but he wouldn’t have added the whole amount.
Sitting up right he narrowed his eyes at her upon being asked why he had gotten the idea that she used his money. He didn’t think he needed to answer her for her to know what was going through his head. “And what was that exactly?” he asked as he folded his arms across his chest and waited for her reason. What reason could she possibly have for basically stealing money from him? Mako also couldn’t help but wonder why she thought taking his money was a better idea than asking him. He knew they didn’t exactly get along most of the time but he thought she would at least know he would help her out if she asked. Or she could go to Bolin and get him to make him give her some money.
“Ah can see yer mad,” She rolled her eyes whilst crossing her arms over her chest. The last thing that Merida had wanted was to rile up Mako more than she thought she would have. She thought that she had made the right decision! What else was she supposed to do?
And what was that exactly? Great. Now she had to explain herself! “Ah knew that no one was goin' tae hire me with the dress ah was wearin' when we met. Ye know? Ah needed somethin' mair... like the City. Show ah'm no' just some country lass.” Which, she wasn't – even if anyone believed she was. She was nothing like her mother and the Kingdom she had come from. Merida had always wanted to run away from home and join the army in the Fire Nation, even if she ended up in Republic City. “Wasn't it a better idea tha' ah looked mair... employable?”
"Hardly, I would have kept more but when I was younger my father kept a limit on how many I could have. We had the money and room to keep a fairly large aviary, but I was young and still learning." Alistair stopped himself from talking. It had happened a few times that when someone brought up the word falcon he would tell them that he had pet falcons in his younger years, or even state knowledge about them.
However, Merida, As she called herself. Also had them as pets, more or less her father’s pets. But still a pet. “Alistair.” He said in reply to giving their names.
“My father used them to help him with his hunting.” She wouldn't know if she would have called such a thing as keeping the falcons as pets though. Either way, they were very well taken care of – the ones that didn't fly away when Merida was trying to feed them and instruct them to do things, that was! The only pets she would have said that they would have had would have been the hunting dogs – and then the royal horses. “Nice tae meet ye Alistair.” She replied with a nod of her head. “Dae ye come fae aroond here?” She looked around unsure if she had ever come across this part of the woods before, there could have been a village either way that she hadn't visited before now.
