I’m a huge fan of Breath of Fire, and I re-imagined Ryu in a sci-fi, cyberpunk setting. I think this one turned out pretty decent. I sent it to Shaddy Safadi for a feedback. I hope he gets back to me.

Art so far

So far I’ve been photobashing a lot of drawings (fan art, concept design) and I feel like my understanding of painting has gotten better. I’ve recently spoke to my mentor Anthony Jones and he was fairly impressed with my progress as well. I’m very happy, hopefully in the coming days I will come up with more mind boggling concept designs. 

Photobashing has been a lot of fun and it does make my paintings better; because it is better. You worry less about material rendering and more about the overall design of the concept, I can see why a lot of professionals in the concept art field does it; it saves time and makes the process faster.

Genos! I saw a lot of fan art for Saitama, and figure a Genos fan art seems more appropriate. And had to think about what Genos would wear in a film setting, the attire he wore in the anime seems to plain so I added some design and photobashed a bunch of clothing together to give him more flare and a better read.

2nd fan art piece, Akame.

7 years after the battle with Esdeath, Akame is all grown up and dishing out justice in the cruel and corrupted capital city.

I felt like doing a fan art piece, and maybe redesign Majin Buu a little bit to make him look more cinematic. I didn’t want to go too crazy; because well He’s already crazy to begin with XD. Hope you guys like it! If you do share it! TY!

I’m behind on posting, but did a greyscale study of emma watson’s face to then took it to color. 

Human flesh is a lot more complicated than I initially thought and expected. I read James Gurney’s blog on face color zones; it was a mind opener! I suggest everyone that sees the picture check it out :)
