I love you dehumanisation and objectification of x-men telepaths; Jean Grey will forevermore be worshipped as a god, a concept of the universe, a cosmic being for the rest of her life, and can no longer live as a normal living person who loves, laughs, and cries; Charles Xavier views himself as a tool, 'something' easy to hate, a utility to be used and discarded once he exhausts all his 'usage' after an entire childhood spent in the shadows of his father's experiments; Emma Frost isolates and shuts herself off from others, baring her teeth to the world and hardening herself as the x-men's rock and anchor during their darkest hours (M-day) yet never letting herself feel emotions or get close to anyone.

All of them hated yet objectified and worshipped beyond reason for a gift none of them asked to be born with. All of them cursed to be feared because people assume they want to manipulate and control the world but it was the world who manipulated and controlled and tortured them first. Oh my tragic tragic tragic telepaths how I love you all.

My favorite thing about X-men movieverse that there's basically two generations of X-men. The first is from 1962 and the second is from 1983. And practically the entire second team is related to the first one

Like:

Jean Grey – Charles Xavier's stepdaughter

Peter Maximoff – Erik Lehnsherr's son

Kurt Wagner – Raven's son

Scott Summers – younger brother of Alex Summers

The only person in the second team who's not related to anyone from the first team is Storm

In xma all students ( old x-men too ) were so sad when they saw that x-mansion blew up cause obviously for some of them it was like second home and for others it was the only home. But Charles Xavier was happy. He hated this fucking house

Charles literally saw future in dofp, right? Which means that he knew about Jean long before he adopted her. He actually saw her in Logans memories but he probably saw her in memories of his future self as well. He saw that in the future he will have a daughter.

And what's even more he probably saw that she will be Erik’s daughter too, that they will have a family together. That Erik would have so much love for them, even if he wouldn't always be there. That Erik will stay by Jean's side when she will need this more than anything. And then future just...changed.

And then Charles adopts Jean alone, raise her alone. And he can't help but feels like being abandoned again but he can't blame Erik because he didn't know. And he just can't help but miss something that never existed. Never had a chance to exist.

I'm working on fanfic now and i'm writing it on my native language. But I think I can translate it on English if anyone wants to read it.

So here is the plot: at begging it's set in fc and it's about cherik getting together, then of course beach divorce happened, and everybody's sad, then Charles opened school and guess who he found first...Wanda and Pietro. He kinda adopts them without knowing that they're Erik’s children. But then he found out and drama happened. Yet still Charles, Wanda, Pietro, Hank, Alex and Sean make beautiful family together. But drama keeps happening because Erik killed president and then a lot of students and teachers were called for military service. Charles still ended up depressed, but he slightly better because of Wanda and Pietro. Then dofp happened but it of course a little bit different. After dofp Erik somehow ( with Wanda's help ) ends up in mansion and he tries to fix his relationship with Charles, he also finds out that twins are his children and also tries to fix his relationship with them as well. In the end everything is pretty good and Charles and Erik adopted Jean and they became happy family. The end ( ? )

The worst thing about Cherik fans who hates Charles is the fact that some of them sometimes treat Charles like he's lesser than Erik. While Charles character just as Erik’s works great without the other one. But they still treat him like he's just good addition to Erik’s character which is...just weird.

I don't say that they need to love Charles because I said so. We all play favorites. But wanting Cherik without Charles?? For me it means they just like the idea of Erik having cute little boyfriend, not of Erik having Charles

Cannot relate to those who like Cherik but don't like Charles... Don't get me wrong, Magneto is my favorite and I feel a deep personal connection to him, but Charles is an extremely fascinating character and it does him an injustice to diminish him to just Erik's love interest.

I've been sitting on a sort of Professor X Analysis/Mythbusting essay, currently in the process of refining it. I know most fans don't read the comics, but there is a goldmine of potential in them and I feel some of them do an excellent job of endearing you to Charles. I understand people's hesitation in getting to know his character better, but he really isn't as bad as certain comic fans make him out to be. People really need to stop taking big comic fan-content creators at face value and actually read and form their own opinions based on what we are given in the comics themselves. It is also very necessary for comic fans to understand that some comics need to be viewed as a product of their time and do not reflect on modern iterations of characters.
