It was just a joke for one, and secondly she still died once. There's also a whole section on doomed/tragic relationships either way. No harm meant by it.
For all of the fandom content I see of Nightmare, I really am surprised at how little of it ever explores any of his abilities outside of the most basic ones. You people are kneecapping my boy, how could you. He could be so incredibly weird and cool and complex all at once! Where is my shapeshifting Nightmare, y'all? Where's Nightmare casually possessing others for his own goals?
These concepts don't have to be mutually exclusive with Dadmare, either. He can regularly use completely off the wall powers and still care about his gang.
Heck, I want to see it done in a BSP, too!
