Did some reppin of Standing Overhead Press with 135lbs.
Haven’t done this lift in a while. I can tell my daily Handstand work is helping this lift out. 135 is not my max. That is a good feeling.

Slow and pause squats.
One of these days I need to figure out what my 1 rep max is. 185 felt heavy but I’m certain I could do more. It’s the next day and I’m feeling soreness
Maui is not obese
Maui is a powerful demigod. Big and strong and… oh, you think he looks fat?
That’s probably because you’ve been conditioned by the media to accept this
as what strong and fit looks like. Amiright?
Sadly… these guys are not all that strong. Yeah, they got muscles… but they aren’t built in a useful way. They are built for looks and that’s about it.
This…
is a strong guy. Actually a competitor in the Strongman competition. But… his tummy sticks out and he doesn’t look like a Dorito.
You know who else is strong?
These guys…
And Maui…
Look at those arms, omg. And that solid, sturdy torso. You can see a shadow where his meat covers his ribs, but he doesn’t look like any slouch to me.
And this guy…
That’s Dwayne Johnson’s grandfather. When the Disney animators showed him their sketches of Maui, he pulled out a picture of his grandfather and showed it to them because he was amazed how similar they looked. This dude was also a pro wrestler.
There’s actually a great infographic about ab muscles and stuff over HERE. but this is the part i want to show you.
Now… look at Maui again.
That thickness don’t move like fat. It doesn’t jiggle and he’s able to flex it. Look at how it sits on his body. It doesn’t sag… he doesn’t have a gut. There’s even a slight V shape to his torso.
It’s just big and not ‘defined’.
And people aren’t used to that.
(sorry, this isn’t the most organized post… i kinda just let it all spill out)
I love all this and all but even if he was fat and jiggled, his character would be the same: awesome. Don’t juxtapose fatness as bad
Day 60. Easing into the week with some yoga.
Me and Beyoncé were both working on our diets, stressing out. Then the day before, we’re watching playback backstage, and she’s eating a bag of Cheetos. I’m like, ‘That’s what you’re doing?’ [He mimes Beyoncé popping a Cheeto in her mouth.] She’s like, ‘There’s nothing more we can do these last two days. It’s gonna be what it’s gonna be. So I’m gonna enjoy this bag of Cheetos.

OMG!! YES! 10lbs heavier than last lift 2 weeks ago. My powerlifting coach @vanessa_j_boom is the BEST! Well…she is 1st in state! 🏆☺️ 265lb lift! She is going to get me to a 315lb lift! My walk off is HILARIOUS!!! 😂😂😂
I do this not to be a Powerlifter, I do it just because I love challenging myself… (at Juggernaut Fit Club)
My local track is closed during summer break and since I don’t want to run on pavement all the time I did my 400m repeats on the treadmill instead. I had sweat rolling down everywhere which goes to show how hard I worked cause I freaking nailed that workout :) (I am obviously not ashamed to show my rolls so don’t waste your time trying to make me feel bad about them)
So majestic
Running is a mental sport, more than anything else. You’re only as good as your training, and your training is only as good as your thinking.
