So. I sat down to write this with the intention of listing all of the crazy sh*t we did this year, but to be honest . YOU GUYS ALREADY KNOW ABOUT ALL THAT SH*T. . So. I just thought I'd tell you about some stuff we learned along the way instead. IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER: . - The guitar is probably too loud. Bet on this. - So is the trombone. - TSA agents will 100% of the time assume the merch case is a giant time bomb (let the most innocent looking member of the band carry it through security). - #Healdsburg is really far away. - So is #Davis. - The tour van doesn't save you money on gas or carpool if it gets 6 miles to a gallon. - They'll all laugh at you, but at the end of the day, we sold 19 copies of our album on 3.5 inch floppy disc this year (seriously, you guys). . MOST IMPORTANTLY. Every New Years Eve I think about how much this band has grown in the four short years that is has existed. Where we've been, how far we've come, and the sheer, unexplainable luck that it took to bring us where we are today. I say it every year, and I keep on meaning it. Thank you for everything that you all have given us. Thank you to everyone who keeps showing up, even after all the crazy sh*t that's happened this year. I don't even understand who all of you are (or why you're hanging out with us), but I know I plan on spending a lifetime giving it back. And thank you to each and every musician that has contributed to the Trace Repeat family. It's an honor to stand on stage with you all, every night. . SO. WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR #NYE?
