My problem is the mass problems I've seen first hand caused by it. The same problems that are ignored and excused away by media and the public.

The fact folks are so quick to jump to alcohol or cigarettes is a fair example of that.

If you’re in social circles with people different than you, and they use your in-born traits as an excuse to control your behavior, make you check whatever you say, or insult you and treat you disrespectfully, fucking RUN.

I don’t care if you’re white and they’re black, if you’re straight and they’re gay, if you’re male and they’re female, if you’re cis and they’re trans, fucking run.

If they tell you to just suck it up when they treat you like shit because you’re privileged and they’re not, get out.

The majority of people, marginalized or not, are good people, but these people are not good people. They have been wrongfully abused for their innate traits, but instead of having the empathy to never want anyone else to experience that abuse, they seek meek and socially isolated targets to bully and abuse, to take their anger out on. They’re not your friends and they’re not good people.

This isn’t me saying “don’t be friends with minorities”, this is me saying “don’t be friends with people who don’t respect you”.

I’m speaking from many years of experience being abused, often physically, by a social circle where I was the only person of my type.
