Ugh, Police stations were so creepy after hours. Jae was supposed to have come in earlier, and she was only hoping that someone would still be here at this point. She could only hear the dripping of what sounded like water. And then footsteps. Oh, good, she wasn’t alone in here.
“Hello? Is anyone there? I– uh, I was supposed to come in beforehand, and I– uh..” Her voice was loud, though now she was just feeling awkward. What if she had misheard? What if whoever was here would be upset by the fact she came to ask questions when they were probably tired?
Paranoia was awful, but she was already here, she might as well try. “If I need to leave, I can.”
West hears footsteps, then a voice in the dark. He didn’t recognize it; there was no way they were authorized to be here at this hour. Frankly, neither was he, though androids were granted a bit more lenience with regards to trespassing than humans.
He listened as he rose to his feet, considering his next move. Well the first-- for sure-- would be to put in a work order for this leak issue, LED flashing amber as he did so.
Surveying the area, he spotted the motion of a human silhouette drawing nearer. He moved to close the distance between them, if only to prohibit her from getting any further into the station. A hand moved guidingly to her elbow as he made a move to usher her to the exit. No doubt he scared the bajeebus out of her; it wasn’t pitch dark, but it was certainly dark enough to startle someone who was already on-edge.
“I’m afraid there is no one here to assist you, currently,” he offers. “You’ll need to return tomorrow morning.”
