If you could make your own batman property what would you do? (I’d try to remake gotham but have it be animated instead)

I can TOTALLY see Gotham being really good in some sort of animated or 2D medium— I make comics so I'm biased for wanting to see it as a comic AKJHSF (random scene redraw in comic form above)

If I wind up locking in on comics, graduate, pulling my connections AND get a chance to pitch something to DC in the next 10 years, I'm gonna pitch a very casual slice-of-life Penguin Riddler comic where they're dating. If nobody's gonna make it explicitly canon then I WILL

one thing I love about Gotham's Riddler design so much is that the glasses are still intact. like in so many batman media (catwoman in batman returns, poison ivy in batman and robin, the riddler in batman forever, harley quinn in every movie/show ever and even scarecrow in batman begins),they all lose the glasses in the villain disguise (does becoming a supervillain just magically heal their short-sightedness? huh. I oughta try that) but Gotham Riddler just gets an upgrade. the nerd glasses are still there, they just double as green shades and slay now. peak character design fr
