I'm bored and wanted to post something Jafar and Hook related so... (This is a long one boys)
The Start: Not much is happening when they first met. They mostly just saw the other as pathetic or weaker for varying reasons. Plus, Hook being a pirate and Jafar being a sorcerer/ex-royalty isn't exactly the best starting grounds. The tension and distrust was incredibly high.
The Interest (and friendship): They slowly started to find this odd interest in one another. They didn't know what it was at the time so they assumed it was nothing more than a friendly connection. Their conversations because more light and genuine as they began to understand and listen to one another. Both fascinated in how they're so similar but live vastly different lives.
The Dating: After growing closer and the feelings of interest only getting stronger, they finally grew a pair and decided to give dating a try. It was rough at first. Jafar was more demanding than Hook expected and Hook was gone too much and too long for Jafar's liking. But, surprisingly, they were good at communicating such problems and eventually found a happy medium.
The Marriage: After about 2 years and a comfortable arrangement, they figured they might as well get married. Hook proposed (of course) and Jafar was over the moon. It wasn't anything flashy, just a small venue with friends and family (if any where alive). Sure, it wasn't the grandest of things, but it was a beautiful moment. Their moment.
The Baby: Two years into their lovely marriage, they adopted a healthy baby girl named Nezha. Hook was reluctant at first about the change but he grew attached to the little girl fast. Jafar was also very attached and loved and spoiled her to bits. By now, the two have retired from the whole villain thing and moved on. Jafar chilled out and Hook got sober.
The Second Child: 5 content peaceful years apparently was enough for them. They wanted to add someone else to their family and Nezha has been asking for a sister since she was 2. So, adoption number 2 came around. That's when they got Jackie. She was the typical emo kid, bounced around homes, never felt safe anywhere, had a harsh life until now (she's 5). But they didn't want her any less than the other "completely normal" kids.
The Vow Renewal (and sobriety celebration): A year after that Hook and Jafar decided to have a redo of their vows (and celebrate Hook being 6 years sober). Mostly because when they initially did them they weren't as sincere or heartwarming. They were originally very standard and uniform, felt too corporate y'know? But now they got to do it again, writting down brand new vows and making them mean something. (Hook has also been learning to speak Arabic in secret for the last 3 years and gave his renewed vows IN Arabic; which resulted in Jafar sobbing)
