Me casually abt to loose my mind again abt how fandoms seem to hate but also want more ace/aro rep.

Like 'oh we need more ace/aro rep!' and then proceed to draw/write/say the dirtiest shit about them.

'ace people can still have s-x! aro people can still date!' shut up for two seconds please it's nkt about that it's about the blatant disregard of sexualities. I KNOW they are fictional charactersbut if you can't even tolerate someone who doesn't exist's orientation how tf are you going to react when you meet a ace/aro person irl?

And, of course, 90% of the people making those ship stuff AREN'T ACE/ARO.

yknow i never understood the obsession with finding "what makes us human". like. what makes us human is being born as a human. i dont know why it's a discussion? theres no singular thing that all humans do, youre always going to exclude someone by saying "this specific thing makes us human!"

NO EXACTLY BECAUSE I SAW THIS SIMILAR DISCUSSION ABT AROACE PEOPLE

specifically an asexual video, how "sex" / "love" is "what makes us human" and the lack of it is ALWAYS linked to a character being an alien or robot.

and it goes further than that too when people start brining in societal expectations of "getting married" "start a family" (which ALWAYS means having kids.)

despite the fact that a group of adults with no relation can be a family! found families are so important and valued !!

hell even people with low empathy are often discriminated against similarly as being "not human" just bc they CANNOT feel empathy. but guess what?? Emotional intelligence exists !!

Being human just means being born as a human. its a species. Human is not equal to moral, normal, or right.

just as a cat is just a cat, a human is just a human.
