Sadly, your friend isn’t wrong.  Kids that go into Foster Care don’t have normal kid lives.  They came from homes with abuse, neglect, and drug use; then they are thrown into the home of a stranger, that’s enough to more than fuck up any young mind.  It sounds like your “friend” was venting to you, thinking they would have your support.  I don’t know your friend, but what they are doing or trying to is amazing; it’s not easy to be a foster kid or parent.  So instead of being judgmental online of your friend, try to be more supportive, or look a little deeper in the lives of foster parents and kids
