Oh, how such utter chaos just filled her little heart with such.....
delight.

The spider smiled, thrilled to see that her charms were still working. She probably wouldnât know what to make of the situation if they hadnât.
âA cherry blossom? How very.. exotic, yes. And, oh, youâre just such a charmer, my dear. I simply donât know what to say..â Twirling a lock of hair around her finger, she looked away bashfully for a moment before returning her attention to the flower in front of her. âOh- now, where are my manners? My name is Charlie, and.. if I may, I might just have a proposition for you.â
â§ïœ„ïŸ: *â§ïœ„ïŸ:*
{ ~ * đž * ~  âIâŠIâm Carrie, i-itâs nice to meetcha, Charlie.â
She was gettingâŠodd vibes from the last part. A complete stranger just coming up to you and saying something like that wasâŠstrange, maybe even a bit suspicious. But! Then again, Charlie was just a stranger, one that she knew nothing about too, and therefore no mean assumptions should be made this early. Â
âOh! AndâŠwh-what would that be?â  ~ â§ïŸïœ„: * đž â§ïŸïœ„: * ~ }
âNow this wonât be too much, no, not at all. If anything, I like to think Iâve got your best interest in mind, sweetheart. Itâll be.. helping me help you, in a way. We both know winter is coming fast, and.. oh, well, I know how you plants can be around that time. But we spiders can be quite talented with a needle and thread, and I think I could whip something up in a jiffy to keep you from getting too chilly, yes.â Meeting the flowerâs gaze, Charlie clasped her hands together before she continued.
âOf course, it will take time, and I will need to gather the right materials, but can you imagine? You would be positively stunning, and on top of that, you wonât have to worry about those pretty petals wilting away on a cold winter night. How does that sound, darling?â
Charlie didnât much care for the other bugs of Inkwell Isle. At the very most, they were food, and thatâs all that mattered to the spider. As far as she cared, it was all they were good for.
Flowers, on the other hand, truly fascinated her. They didnât need to do a thing. Those folk could sit there for days and be perfectly fine. Sometimes she wished of such a peaceful lifestyle. But just as envy began to worm its way into the spiderâs heart, something bright and colorful had caught her eyes. Bright pink, from head to feet - or.. stem? It was hard to tell from here. Quietly, she approached, trying to get a better look at the plant. Deeming the other to be of little threat to her, she spoke up, eyes glinting with curiosity.
âHello, sweetheart. My, what colors⊠such.. prettyful little petals. May I ask what you are, exactly?â

{ ~ * đž * ~  Naturally, being approached (and complimented) by such a pretty lady made Carrie feel a biiiitâŠflustered. But she managed to snap herself out of it before she came of as weird, dusting herself off.
âA-aâŠa cherry blossom, miss!â she answers, gesturing to herself, a faint blush still remained on her face. âYou look nice too! I-I like your dress⊠the colors suit you!â she compliments back, smiling sweetly.  ~ â§ïŸïœ„: * đž â§ïŸïœ„: * ~ }

Stepping quietly, one foot in front of the other, the spider made her way across a single thread of silk connecting two trees. She had done this so many times before that it had practically become second nature to her. But in hearing the crunch of fallen leaves, she paused, watching as someone made their way through.
Now there was no logical reason for anyone to wander this deep into the woods at this time of night, but Charlie had been surprised before. "Poor little thing," she mused with a smile, "lost and scared and.. alone."

â donât be a stranger. â
â i donât think i can. âÂ
â donât say that. â
â you donât have to go. â
â donât be what they made you. â
â you donât have to be anyoneâs hero. â
â why donât you stay right here? âÂ
â donât you trust me? â
â you donât have to be on your own. â
â i donât like to think about it. â
â you donât get to make that call. â
â donât act like you care. â
â we donât think alike. â
â you donât need to worry about that. â
â i donât know why. âÂ
â you donât mean that. â
â you donât have to tell me. â
â i donât trust many people. â
â i donât have a family anymore. â
â you donât care what they think. â
â donât listen to them. âÂ
You play the ÉąáŽáŽáŽ.                  Youâll NEVER WIN.
"My, what a curious thing you are. But may I ask.. what exactly are you?"
Cherise looked at the newcomer. Man, what a girl! A little dangerous lookin, but still so damn beautifulâŠ
âCurious? Youâre the curious one here~!â, she replied with a small smile. âUsually, a spider like you would run for their life if they saw me.â
âIâd say Iâm a fire cherry or a pin cherry, but others say Iâm a bird. So I guess Iâm a berry with the body of a hummingbird~â
There was some pride in her voice when she said the last two sectences.
And so soon, another creature had fallen for her charms. Giggling softly, the spider smiled back so sweetly. âTrust me, lovely, my kind are quite familiar with the concept of fear, but our diet doesnât lead to many friends Iâm afraid.â Twirling a lock of fluffy hair around her finger, she looked at the cherry-bird lazily.
âA berry... with the body of a... now, isnât that simply fascinating? Now Iâve heard of many fantastical things, but thatâs the best one of all! Now how in all of Inkwell does that come about?â
âDonât tell me youâre scared of ghosts?â

[â]Â âMe? Afraid of ghosts? Of course not. Ghosts donât scare me at all-â
Ghosts were a bit unnerving to the little mug, but he wouldnât say he was scared of them. A bit creeped out maybe, but that didnât mean he was scared of them, did it?
{Charlie}
She couldnât help the soft chuckle that escaped her lips. Oh, how fun this could be, to spin a story of horrors that simply didnât lie in truth. At least, as far as she knew. She had never gone far enough from this isle to find out otherwise.
âOh, one would hope, wouldnât they? But of course, hope can only bring you so far,â she mused, her multiple eyes glinting with mischief as she began to circle the mug. No, she didnât intend to ever pick out pretty pieces of porcelain from her teeth, but there was no reason she couldnât give him a good scare.
It was all in good fun, yes.
âBut I will admit, ghosts can be quite frightening, despite their.. less than corporeal forms. Though Iâve found fear can be rooted in many things. Ghosts.. shadows⊠âŠspiders,â she finished with a toothy grin, revealing sharp rows of teeth.
[â] The child was a tad unnerved with her circling around him with that mischief look in her many eyes. It gave him goosebumps to say the least. He had no idea what this spider wanted, but he prayed he wasnât going to end up her newest victim for whatever she did with them.
He never had a problem with spiders. Spiders were okay in his book. They werenât one of the things that scared him. His fears were made out of nature mostly. Fire, electricity, water. Loud noises were one of the things that scared him the most. But a spider?
It all depended on what she wanted from him. If she tried to attack him, being a pacifist, he wouldnât fight back. The only way he would was if Gum took control for him.
Too bad he didnât know she only wanted to give him a rather good scare and didnât mean any harm to him.
Mugman flinched back with a nervous smile and chuckle to boot as she showed off her sharp teeth. âHehe⊠Spiders can be kinda scary I guessâŠâ he admitted.
Charlieâs grin only widened at the childâs flinch, though she couldnât help but wonder why someone so nervous would stick around for as long as he had.
Regardless, she would see this through.
âKinda scary? Well, I suppose you get points for being honest, and I suppose Iâve heard... worse. Those old friends of mine back at the tree.. oh, now I suppose we arenât friends anymore are we?... but they had the gall to call me such nasty things.â She pouted for dramatic effect, opening one eye to look at the young boy.
âThat being said... I suppose there was some truth in it, hm?â Leaning down to his height, the rest of her eyes opened, one by one focusing on the mug. âBut now.. what could I have possibly done to warrant such negativity?â

âOh, no, of course not. Iâm sure youâre very brave,â the spider replied, voice sickeningly sweet. âBut, of course, you must have heard the stories, hm? Some say this place is haunted, and that those who enter never leave.â
Charlie paused, shooting a coy little smile towards the young mug.
âBut then again.. theyâre just stories, arenât they?â
[â] He wouldnât exactly call himself brave. He was scared of so many things. That couldnât make him brave. At the very least, not in his eyes. He looked at the spider. She was referring to the ghost stories that spoke of the place being haunted. He knew that ghosts existed, heâd seen them and fought them sort of, but the never leaving part caused him to wince lightly. That didnât sound very good.
âI hopeâŠ?â
