“I’ve been workin’ non-stop lately and now I never wanna look at pizza again.”
Hi I’m so sorry I haven’t been here. I’ve been going through some stuff lately that is really boring and I haven’t had a chance to get online. I should hopefully be on tonight.
riley.
“Eh, not really. I’m more happy being here in Chicago. I lived in a bit of a shithole in Detroit.”
“Well I’m glad you’re happy now, then. It’s lovely here, ain’t it? I never wanna leave.”
“Yeah, because that’s gone so well for me in the past,” she replied quietly as she began to hang up clothes. Being around Riley, her instincts were immediately to be defensive. “Probably…it always bothered me when you were messy,” she chuckled. Layne began unpacking from a box, finding an old photo album. “Do you remember this?” She asked as she flipped through it. “Christmas that one year where it was just the two of us.”
“The past is the past,” Riley shrugged. She let out a laugh, feeling a lot more comfortable around the girl. Her eyes shifted to the book she held in her hands, her grin spreading as the familiar picture registered in her brain. “Oh my god, yes! That was such a good year.” She flopped down on the bed again, examining the picture.
riley.
“It’s no problem at all, really. I’m from Detroit, Michigan.”
“That’s cool, I’m from Alabama.Do you miss Detroit?”

“Nothing in my life is ever meant to be. I’ve learned that by now,” she said lightly before hanging a shirt of hers up. “Sure…if you want to help. You know how I organize my clothes by color.”
“What did I always tell you? You have to make your own fortune.” She laughed and rolled her eyes, knowing how organised she always was. “Yeah, I know.” She picked up a shirt, hanging it up and putting it with the rest of the grey shirts. “You’d probably curl up ‘n die if you saw the state of my apartment right now.”
“Riley!” She exclaimed, looking at the mountain of food she brought. “You - wow, that’s so sweet, but I’m fine. Keep them for yourself. It was so, so kind of you, but I feel rotten accepting it because really, I’m okay.” She smiled.
“Don’t be so silly!” Riley laughed. “Eat them because you’re okay, then. But I won’t force you to eat ‘em if you don’t wanna.” She gave the girl a comforting smile, realising that she may have gotten too excitable again. “So what’ve you been up to?”
truth: who was your first crush && are you crushing on anyone rn?
“Am I thirteen again? My first crush was Rachel from Friends, and Jen will always be my one true love. No, I’m not crushin’ on anyone.”
Truth: Who do you have feelings for?
“Right back to the classic fifth grade questions, huh? I have feelin’s for people that have been in my life before. They don’t just go away, at least, not for me.”
Jaime smiled down at the floor in front of her. “It’s really nice of you to come visit me,” She said softly. “I was just having a rough PH day and was sort of too sick to work. But I swear to God, I’m okay.” She offered a reassuring smile.
“Don’t mention it,” Riley grinned, setting down her bag. “I brought you some food. I’m not sure what kind of food you like, though, so I brought some chocolate, some potato chips and some popcorn. You can choose what you want.” She got the food out of the bag, setting them on the table. “Are you sure you’re okay, though?”
So many horrible thoughts were running through Layne’s mind, which happened when she got this upset. Only Riley could do this to her, because of how much she loved her. Riley knew parts of Layne that nobody else on this planet cared to learn. “I missed you too,” she replied a few seconds later. “I know you loved me,” she added, because she had been so harsh before. “And I know you weren’t ready…it just sucks anytime a relationship ends because of that. It wasn’t even that we didn’t love each other anymore, you know? I hate it,” she admitted quietly as she looked up to meet Riley’s eyes.
“I know,” Riley mumbled, tucking a piece of her blonde hair behind her ear. “It was just...I don’t know...Maybe not meant to be at the time. It hurt like hell though,” she added with a soft laugh. “Do you need some help unpackin’? I’m free for the night.”

IM HERE FOR TRUTH IR DARE OMG IM EXCITED
riley.
“Thanks. Just last weekend.”
“I was gonna say I haven’t seen you around. So where are you from?...Sorry, I’m super nosey. Feel free to tell me to shut up ‘n go away.”
At the worlds I told them eventually, Layne felt like she’d been hit in the chest with a sledgehammer. “Why the hell would you tell me that? That you came out after we broke up?” She asked with anger filling her entire body. It was cruel of Riley to say that in her opinion, because if she had’ve been patient a little longer, maybe they still would’ve been together. That was on Layne, though, and she knew it. She just sat down on her bed and pulled her knees up to her chest, leaving the option of leaving up to Riley if she wanted to. “You know how much I loved you.”
“I thought you deserved to know,” she replied quietly. She contemplated leaving the girl to her own devices, but she knew she wouldn’t do that. She slowly walked towards her, sitting on the bed beside her. “I know. I loved you too. More than anything. I just had trouble showin’ it sometimes.” She looked down at her hands, trying to form a coherent sentence. It had been so long since they had spoken, and everything that she had wanted to say to her given the opportunity had left her mind. “I missed you.”
