Nurgle Sorcerer! The notice board icon is from the Empire Flaggelants kit that was released around the same time as this mini. I painted this back then, but only recently re-based and photographed it
Beast of Nurgle
Conversion based on the last metal Chaos Spawn miniature. The tentacles/stacks on itâs back are from a very old Beast of Nurgle metal miniature
Chaos Ogre (or Ogor, or maybe Troll), AKA Harbinger of the Darkwings, Devout, Chronopia
I believe this is the first Chronopia miniature that I have ever painted and it is massive (the base is a 50mm one)! Zenithal priming helped a lot with this one, as it has large areas of exposed skin. it is not clear at first, but under his arms and head, those are sleeping bats! The miniature comes with two flying stands of bat swarms, not painted yet.
Chaos Chosen with great weapon!
Made of metal and pure evil, because thatâs how things should be.
Chaos Lord
by Miniatures from The LIons Tower (LTMinis.com) Another mini from Asset Drop, this was my first time painting 3d printed resin.
The quality of the sculpt was very good in general. The bulky piece under the weaponâs blade seemed, well, bulky, but I believe it was strategically positioned to avoid a weak spot that would see the miniature break otherwise.
Chaos Warrior with Halberd and Shield!
from the Battle Masters boardgame (by MB + GW).
Of course I painted the Moonspell sigil on his shield!
Plague Jester
miniature by Rotten Factory, from ther "Rotten Circus Crew"
The golden mask is a Death Stranding influence. This is also the first time that I painted a cobblestone base, I tried to match the italian cobblestone pavements.
This miniature fits perfectly into the "Nurgle Carnival" theme from Mordheim
I got my hands on this through the unfortunately now suspended Asset Drop subscriptions. The base is from Micro Art Studio.
Iron Warrior IV - The Champion/Techmarine
I always liked the metal Techmarines, and especially this because of the helmet. The âexposed techâ - souped-up plasma pistol from the plastic Khorne Berzerkers kit fits the character of the mini.
Post-Apocalyptic Monowheel
Inspired by Claptrap (Borderlands 1) I kitbashed and started painting it (masking fluid weathering technique) when the game had just been released. Finally finished painting it!
Pink Horror
AKA Abyssal Maw with tentacles
I have already painted 2 Abyssal Maws, and to differentiate it a bit, I replaced itâs arms with greenstuff tentacles.
Iron Warrior III - with meltagun
AKA The Converted
AKA the plasma cannon Dark Angel from Dark Vengeance had a cool helmet; too cool for a Dark Angel. So he lost any imperial insignia and got Chaos Space Marine arms, shoulder pads and meltagun.
Because Iron Warriors do not keep their true allegiance secret ;)
Beast of Nurgle!
Metal, with a plastic Chaos Spawn head. Based on a 50mm base because the original 40mm is too small. This was a common feeling when this slimy creature was first released, and I remember people basing it on a 60mm one (50mm were not a thing yet), but that was too big, and felt out of proportion. The newer 50mm ones are just right.
I saw an increase in likes and reblogs here, so even though I donât do regular updates and I neglect this tumblr, I felt that it was time for more!
Genestealer Broodlord / Xenomorph Alpha
Of the metal variety; Painted with a Giger/ALIEN color palette
Chaos Lord/Sorcerer on Daemonic Steed
Oldhammer Chaos warrior/knight torso with Blight Kings and other bits.
The steed Is an Epic Tyranid Dominatrix with a Chaos Spawn head and a âcrownâ from the Helbrute kit.
Dechala, The Denied One
I found this miniature rough to paint, but also because I could not settle on a colour palette. Still, the Oldhammer is strong on this one, so no modifications apart from the round base.
Plaguebearer Cyborg (and friends)
Simple conversion, as the plastic plaguebearer swords are not to my tastes. His older buddies in the last photo are a slightly different hue as they had been primed white, this guy instead was primed with Zandri Dust (desert yellow) and has had a strong zenithal spraying with white afterwards. They have had their bases retouched as well to match my new tastes.
Chaos Warrior of Malal
Of the snap-fit quality
Modified with halberd
