“That’s a cool name! After a color! Nice.” She compliments. “And yeah! You can come sit with me behind the counter if you can’t find nothin’ else to do!” She offers. Her gaze drops down to her many flowers. “They’re mostly just common flowers, haha…”

“That one’s a bluebell, that’s a sunflower, those are honeysuckle, which most people consider a weed, but I don’t, because ohana means family! Just point to one and I’ll tell you all about it!”

As Daisy begins to list the types of flowers she has, Yellow slips behind the counter and takes a seat. She props her sketchbook up halfway between her lap and the counter for support.

She taps her pencil against the paper thoughtfully. “Hmm… Could you tell me more about Honeysuckles, then? Why do some people consider them to be weeds?”

She smiles. “They think that they’re weeds because they’re natural, fast growing and breeding plants. Weeds are technically any plant that’s invasive, but over time, idiots have taken it to mean ‘any plant that isn’t pretty.’” She sighs, but then smiles. “They actually make a really sweet juice that you can suck out! Hence the name!” She explains.

Daisy laughs, looking her up and down. “It’s doing pretty good! Sold quite a few flowers!” Her eyes land on her hair and she gives a small smirk. “Did I scare ya, sunshine?” She teased. “I didn’t mean to, though! Just thought you might like to see the flowers! You look like a lady who can appreciate that!” She smiled, more genuine and soft than her previous grin or smirk.

“I’m Daisy! It’s nice to meet you!” She says happily, cheerily.

“Yellow,” she supplies. “It’s nice to meet you, too.” A daisy selling flowers. Someone could probably turn that into comedy gold, but Yellow isn’t that someone.

Moving on with a sheepish smile. “A little.” Yellow admits, “but it’s not a problem. I was planning on relaxing, and this is a pretty good way of doing that, I think.” She lets her gaze wander to the flowers as she speaks.

“These really are nothing like the ones you’d see on Sunfloras or Glooms…” The blonde muses. Not that non-pokemon flowers didn’t exist, but she did like the look of these! “What kind of flowers are these?”

Daisy sat in her booth, smiling and greeting everyone who passed by. She wore a green green yukata with pink and white blossoms on it. She has pinned up her hair into a bun with leaf pins. She spotted another girl, and she felt familiar, like they came from the same world…

“Hey!! Welcome! Come check out my shop!” The enthusiastic young woman greeted the yellow haired pokemon trainer.

Yellow hadn’t dressed up for the occasion at all, preferring to be comfortable than fashionable. However, she did appreciate seeing everyone all gussied up, talking amongst themselves and generally having a good time. In a world like this- familiar, but not too familiar- it grounded her. Kept her from worrying about home.

Still, she’d been walking for a while now. Maybe it was best to take a break, sit down on that nice bench with her sketchbook and just-

“Hey!! Welcome! Come check out my shop!”

That sure got her out of her own head! Yellow nearly dropped her sketchbook, whipping around to see the flower stand- and the cheery woman who had called out to her. There’s a pregnant pause where Yellow composes herself before finally approaching Daisy.

A small wave. “How’s the shop doing?” She says, and realizes then she skipped over several steps- like introductions. Oh well!
