As most people know I've been working in the "entertainment industry" on/off for almost 10 years. So I do try to help people where I can help them if they want to enter the industry. In the past year I've started to work a certain type of concerts/tours. So I've met some pretty interesting people to say the least. At one show specifically a volunteer was hanging all over myself and another person. We were okay with it because she didn't seem crazy so we exchanged information and we've been answering her questions and we thought we were all becoming friends. In November she stared to be weird, she volunteered for a show for another artist/production company and even told "another person" that they couldn't be seen talking to each other even though she had been all over them the previous tour. Then come January she was hanging all over "another person" again, as if nothing happened. We come to find out she was hanging all over us because she wanted an IN with the company we were working with. So she only hangs over us when it comes to that company. The past two weeks she's made comments/digs at us. "You guys act like I'm stupid" "I hate people who are wealthy who act like they have no money" "Oh figures I didn't think you wanted to work with them since you're bias to [insert company name]. With all this being said. You were gonna bring up something to the company CEO that would have made you look bad since you were supposed to be working the show. It wasn't that I thought you were stupid, it was about bad timing and you shooting yourself in the foot. And as it is, I apparently didn't have to worry because when you showed up for the day in question it was a shock to the company, and they realized they made the mistake of having you back. So do not get mad at me for you breaking the NDA that you signed. It's not that I'm being biased when it comes to them, they're the professional company not the companies that you keep volunteering for that set up interviews for potential volunteers and never follow through, or have them sign stuff and never get back to them. That's bad business, and I don't want to work with such.

You notice that the “feminist icons,” of today are people like Lena Dunham, Jennifer Lawrence, Hillary Clinton, Amy Schumer, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Tina Fey, etc. They get praised for the most basic “feminism is about equality of the sexes so of course I’m a feminist,” comments. While simultaneously being racist or xenophobic or Islamophobic or abusive or transphobic or anti-semetic or classist or a combination of a few.

Like, I don’t think anyone’s feminism is perfect, but why are the major feminist icons today the ones who solely focus on straight, cis, rich, healthy, white women. I’m supposed to praise someone who jokes about not having Black friends? Jokes about how oppressed Muslim women are? Mocks our cultures? Mocks our accents?

A couple of weeks ago I was asked to help put together a fan fest for Ed Sheeran in New Jersey. There was some minor problems, but I think over-all it went well. Thanks for anyone who went.

remember how happy we all were? then showtime was like nahhhhhh. Seriously they need to work this shit out.

when it happened, my first reaction was, “oh my god, my eye is gone.” It hit so hard.. there was so much blood that I wasn’t sure if it had clipped my eyeball or what had happened. I wasn’t sure. I definitely feel very blessed that the skate didn’t hit my eye. I was very lucky. I wanted to come back for the third. It took a while to get stitched up. I was back there for a while but the doctors – and my wife – came to the conclusion that I probably shouldn’t go back out just for the sake of not ripping the stitches.

The last few days have been really hard for me, everything has been wrong, yet nothing has really been wrong. I'm not happy in my own skin anymore, my anxiety is getting really bad, looking at something like a menu is stressing me out. I went to bed a few days ago perfectly fine with the idea of not waking up. Tomorrow I'm hopeful I can find a way of out this, or at least feel a little more motivated to not feel this way.
