Dichroic Mirror by Luis Rodriguez

The Dichroic Mirror is concept by the Stockholm based designer Luis Rodriguez. The idea was, to distort the mirror from its main purpose of checking your own appearance. The solution was a dichroic film, that is applied to the mirrors surface. The Film has the unique character of splitting the light in to different wave lengths, resulting in different colors, depending on the position of the viewer.

Brand Identity for Helvetimart by Anagrama

“Our branding proposal is heavily inspired by regional flags belonging to each of Switzerland’s 26 sovereign states. We created a nomenclature system based on the states’ coat of arms, allowing us to establish a distinction across the different sections in the market. We simplified these flags to create a homogeneous language, using representative elements and colors to develop the labels for the brand’s products and the signage within the store to ease its navigation.”

Alessandro Gallo’s “For Some Reason” at Jonathan LeVine Gallery.

Currently on view at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York City is artist Alessandro Gallo’s solo exhibition entitled “For Some Reason.”

“For some reason” is an idiom used to acknowledge when something exists despite the fact that it defies explanation and perfectly characterizes Gallo’s uncanny ceramic sculptures. His impeccably crafted hybrid creatures with human bodies and animal heads stand approximately two feet tall and question mankind’s relationship with the natural world, as well as our need to postulate a sense of logic when it otherwise appears to be missing.

“For Some Reason” will be on display until December 17th, 2016.
