So, lemme start with one of the most important questions - is Bismuth gonna be in solid state of matter in Erid's temperature at all?

If Prism was in Earth's atmosphere, technically — yes. Bismuth's point of melting (POM further) is = 271 Celsius, while Erid's temperature is only at 210 in average. BUT there's a thing. At this temperature (somewhere at 200-150), Bismuth starts to get kinda soft and flexible.

BUT Prism's carapace is not on Earth. For everyone who's not into physics, here's explanation why it's that important:

POM for every single matter depends on Pressure of atmosphere very very much. The higher pressure - the higher a temperature of POM. So is supposed to be a point of Bismuth becoming flexible.

Welp, I moved around with numbers and formulas, so here comes the result:

The difference is only = -5 Celsius. Not very much, yall just could be sure that POM now is not ~271, but =276. So it probably doesn't really change anything.

Prism's carapace would be flexible even in Erid's Atmosphere.

BUT only if it’s a pure Bismuth. Here we can actually move to Alloys. Soooo my first thought was about metals that could fuse with Bismuth yet still don’t ruin its signature swirl-like structures. Usually bismuth comes in handy to make low-melting alloys, but now we need to do exact opposite thing.

So I did research a bit, AND I found a long fckn ass article about deposit in the Southern Urals, and it says that Gold-Bismuth alloys are kinda classy thing for ahhh some reasons, I’m not that good with geology tbh. Gold supposed to rise up Bismuth’s POM dramatically, BUT it destroys fractal structures when it actually changes POM

I researched on this point, it’s kinda impossible to make Bismuth less melty yet still keep its structure, since alloys mess up with atomic structure of this mineral.
