Campervan Style - Yorkshire Puddings. Welcome back Sunday Roast
Campervan Style – Yorkshire Puddings. Welcome back Sunday Roast
It came to me sometime ago while out travelling that having a routine is quite important, With that in mind i also realised that at times the days of the week can all of sudden merge and you find that everyday becomes just another day and you cant distinguish what’s known as a weekend.
So, one of my old weekend routines was on a Sunday, have a roast dinner. I think it’s just a thing that I’ve…

Kitesurfing Portugal... The Deep South
Kitesurfing Portugal… The Deep South
For many it would seem that kitesurfing in Portugal, the north is where it happens, and i want a piece of it. But as I am travelling up from Tarifa, it would be wrong to miss out seeing the south western national parks and the amazing beaches, plus the possibility to get a kite session in – bonus.
So heading to Alvor and Lagos where there is a flat water lagoon. It’s not the style I enjoy mostly…

Van Conversion - What to consider, hints & Tips
Van Conversion – What to consider, hints & Tips
So you want to buy a van, build your dream, convert it and then head off to those dreamy places or simply make going away and staying somewhere a whole lot easier.
I wish i had done it a lot sooner. Heading to the hills and mountains with a tent and trying to stay warm and dry after a day upon day of treks, and getting away to the coast for kite trips and trying to find affordable B&Bs, Hotels…

How to stay fit on the move
How to stay fit on the move
Whether you are living full time on the move, campervan living, a vanlifer, on holiday or working away, one of the biggest things I’ve been asked is – how do you stay fit and healthy?
I guess it’s slightly easier for me as I served in the military for quarter of a century and 15 years of that was as a physical training instructor. I also took bookcamp classes for a well known outdoor physical…

The After Party
White fish and prawns in a white wine sauce
So a pre-lunch 10km Run, and then an afternoon of kitesurfing in 30+ knots of wind for 3-4 hours… you could say, I’m hungry 😋…
When at sea and away from the shore, you get a fair bit of time to think. And today it was food on my mind
I really like to try new things and one of the most important things to me whilst I’m traveling around is the ability to…

Vanliving essential home comforts…
Before I started out, I didn’t really know what I could take and what I couldn’t, or even what would last the first few miles in the van after driving over a few pot holes in the road. So I started with everything plastic, just as if you were doing a day visit to the beach. The thing about living in a van, its not just for one day.
So… I like eating off a real plate, proper cutlery (that doesn’t…

Sweet but Chilli
Chicken breast with pesto and and honey coated couscous
After wondering though the quaint white washed alleys with roof terraces and terracotta tiled of old town Tarifa, with all the little eateries offering tapas and paella – it got me thinking about what to make this evening…
The Levante winds whip and whistle through the narrow corridors and chills the hot sun.
So sweet and chilli felt quite…

You’re never to old...
You’re never to old…
When did you last have that thought?
I’m far from old, but when did you last have “I’m to old, I’m to this, I’m to that”? I had it. Leaving a structured life to embark on a life change and journey, i asked a lot of questions to myself and about myself.
Well i guess we’ve all done it, doing it, going through it, had it, don’t want to imagine it… do it daily?
Well…
You’re never to old to;
To change…

I’m sure this is possibly, but every bit of use, builds more confidence.

The video is based around the journey from the UK heading down to Tarifa in Spain. Heading off to the kitesurfing European Mecca with its famous beaches from Tarifa along to Valdevaqueros.
