the thing that piss brained chode suckers like andrew taint, elongated mucas and those other 'escape the matrix' types fundamentally misunderstand about simulation theory is that it's not saying reality is a video game. there are no npcs because the existence of npcs would imply the existence of playable characters, which you are not. there are no cheat codes... i mean how would that even work? you cannot 'escape the matrix' in simulation theory because you're not plugged into a matrix, you are the matrix.

it's so annoying seeing how a legitimate and interesting thought experiment has been absolutely bastardised by far-right lunatics with a main character complex.

i think the reason why the took it the complete wrong way is 1. they're fucking stupid (which fair enough) 2. they're extremely self-centred and can't handle the thought that they might be one infinitesimally tiny part of something so incomprehensibly vast universe or machine that they essentially have to rewrite the whole theory as self-insert fan fic (and not the good kind).

the wealthy elite are probably extremely uncomfortable with the idea that one day their riches will mean fuck all and that eternity does not care for millions, billions or trillions. that camel isn't gonna make it through that needle eye and i think they know that and i think it really really bothers them. cos they're not lizards, they're humans, they also feel existential dread, and that's why all they can do is take advantage of the population and watch the line go up in hopes it'll fill the void that they dug out.
