i’m actually so proud of shawols, like you don’t even know. kibum trusted us enough to join a kakaotalk group chat and let everyone know he’s ok. some shawols chose not to reblog/repost airport photos because of respect for their privacy (if you did like me for taekey, it’s literally no big deal i just like that some peeps didn’t want to invade their privacy). jong trusted shawols when a concert got delayed that he just sat and talked and shawols kept a safe distance. that women at the airport a while ago who “protected” taemin from the fans too lmfao. she was awesome. and jinki managed to fly to japan without being seen and though very, very few people got pictures, shawols are choosing not to spread them. yes, we have flaws because we a fanbase just like others. but even during this tough time, we’ve been so strong and i hope you all know how freakin’ proud i am of us because i mean, look at us! we’re amazing and it’s thanks to the amazing example shinee has set for us. minho said that fans are a reflection of him and he is a reflection of us. let’s be a good reflection for the boys, ok?

“A few years ago, I was crying and whining at my mom and sister while I was really drunk. I asked my mom and sister… it wasn’t long after we’d moved. I asked them if they were happy. I got drunk and woke up my entire sleeping family, like some ahjussi. It had been my number one goal in life, you know, to make my mom and sister happy. They both woke up and told me they were happy. But I was so envious at the fact that they were able to reply that they were, indeed, happy. Because it wasn’t like that for me. I told them while sobbing: I want to be happy too. let’s cut all this “I don’t even stan SHINee”- crap. This is about a real person, not just a kpop idol, dying because of reportedly suicide. I think this is a good time for us to reflect upon not only how the entertainment industry influences idols but also on how depression and suicidal thoughts that come from mental illnesses are real and happening. I want to comfort and wish the best to anyone who’s affected by Jonghyun’s death. May he rest in peace.
