the mob psycho 100 anime ended some time ago and I’ve been wanting to draw something for it, this show is so good…… I’ve started watching it very recently (it was around September, I actually started watching because of the tumblr sexyman poll thing hdhhdhxhs) and I’m a bit sad I didn’t discover it earlier, though I’m glad I did just before season 3 dropped :’)

The writing is so good, it’s simple (in a good way, u know?) but it just works so well?? The humor is top notch, and the characters are lovable and I just love it so so so much ;;;; I really recommend you watching it if you haven’t already, it might become one of your favorites too!

(Now let’s all pray for the reigen spinoff to get adapted too 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽)

genuinely think including her POV instead of Robb’s was the most groundbreaking thing this book series ever did

longer answer i think the most interesting thing about catelyn chapters is because she is really in tune with the values of the society she grew up in, her chapters really dig into the sociology of it all especially re: gender and nobility. Like her arc about her growing alienation to Robb as the king is a really interesting parallel with cersei, where both women are really fighting and losing against the idea of having to surrender agency to your son who is also your king. in catelyn‘s case it’s about losing the boy who was her son to this violent structure of monarchy. like robb the boy is replaced by robb the king who on some level does not respect her because she is a woman. and in cersei’s case it’s about like not being able to exact her own power as the queen within the violent institution of monarchy over her son who she never saw as a boy but always as a pawn. it’s all just heartbreaking.

Also it’s so fascinating that you can really tell that she was raised to be the heir to riverrun for most of her adolescence but ned was a second son being fostered outside of the north and then when they got married they suddenly had to switch roles. Because when it comes down to it Ned’s response to crisis is usually to repress what’s happening and delay responding but Catelyn will act first. She is very good at southern politics and great at playing her role she makes no mistakes and loses anyway because everyone else switched the rules up on her.
